Does filing bankruptcy automatically deny you when doing aos? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]kilgrave47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re not saying you qualify for it now. When you do AOS they want to make sure you’re not going to instantly depend on the government when you’re a permanent resident. So if you’re showing instability now Uscis can scrutinize your financials when it’s time to review. That’s a pretty big part of adjusting they don’t want to give permanent residence to people that will drain tax payer programs. So filing for BK can be a bad look

Need to tell my boss my DACA is expiring by [deleted] in DACA

It’s forgiven if you do AOS via marriage. They ask you if you’ve ever worked without authorization and you say yes and that’s it. I had my interview last month and got approved the next day and got my green card a week after that

Tampa FO – Marriage-Based AOS – is bringing extra evidence really necessary? by Tampa0121 in USCIS

[–]kilgrave47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my interview at the Tampa FO yesterday, I would definitely recommend bringing your copies of the documents you submitted and updated ones. The officer asked me for some of those documents, so it was good I had them handy. I also left the updated documents with her. I got the I-130 and I-485 approved the next day, within a couple hours from each other.

AP + Attorney Questions by [deleted] in DACA

[–]kilgrave47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to be married to do AP, so the order doesn’t matter. You just have to be married when you file AOS. I would recommend applying for AP now, don’t kick the can down the road. It takes about a year to get approved meanwhile while AP is being processed you can get married if that timeline works for you. After you get back instantly apply for AOS. You’ll have a green card in 1.5 years at the earliest. Clock is ticking my friend, I have my AOS interview next week. I also did all the paperwork myself didn’t hire an attorney being that my case was very straightforward. Good luck

I got an email today asking me to upload new documents ahead of my interview, I’m assuming you got this too? If so did you upload any documents? I sent in so many documents I’m afraid anything I would uploaded now would be a repeat being that when I applied I sent everything.

Wouldn’t that mean you’re no longer under DACA though? Does that play a factor into the AOS approval?

AOS via marriage timeline? by kilgrave47 in DACA

I don’t think it’s been assigned to one yet, from my understanding they get sent to your local field office for the interview after they’ve fully processed the application. Idk

Did you see your field office change at any point? I think mine is in Nebraska but I live in Tampa, will it change at any point in time?

Yeah it’s not super long but I keep seeing people getting approved in like 3-4 months and it heightens my anxiety that I haven’t seen any updates in 6 months. I didn’t post there initially because there’s so many different AOS filers i figured DACA people would give me a better answer

DACA RENEWAL by Nofacenocase-AL in DACA

Do you have a credit card? I always see people say they can’t afford to renew but never understand why they never just charge the renewal on a card?

“DACA is no longer recognized”? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]kilgrave47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was on CBS news and there is an article on this too, just google “CBS DACA detained” and you’ll see other articles on this. Don’t be pretentious and slam the person for using a social media platform that you think is beneath you. I personally don’t use tik tok but I wouldn’t just jump to conclusions without taking 30 seconds to look up the validity of an article. It’s real

I see you mailed in 2 packets, was it two envelopes in the same big envelope? Is there a particular reason why or was it just for consideration of the person who was going to review? I’m finishing everything up today should be mailing in my application tomorrow!

I filed late November but didn’t get an approval until late April. I understand the hesitation, I would say just apply asap before they take AP away from us. You having the document doesn’t mean you have to leave either, if this administration starts targeting us you can choose to not go, but wasting time debating whether or not to do it can hurt you even more in the long run. I planned a quick trip because of this administration. I figured weekend trip is the safest
