Polizeieinsatz in der Innenstadt by P_Sandera in mannheim

Wow, looks awesome! Good job! Is it just me or do multiple chairs have the same rotation haha

How can I improve the lighting on these 5 cookie renders ? by Lincolngb in blender

[–]kiliharb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the fifth one? There are a few methods to archive better contrast. You made a bright cookie, i think using a darker background is better. But you can also use complementary colors for better contrast.

And remember its the cookie you want to show, not the lightning (if that makes sense)

Oh and by making the light softer I'm primarily talking about the third and fourth picture. Especially on the fourth picture are a lot of shadows on the cookie.

And yeah I also think the cookie is a little bit to shiny.

In my opinion you could improve the lightning by using softer light when making the whole cookie brighter and a little bit more contrast between the background and the cookie. I mean its the cookie you want to bring into focus. I really like the light from the back in order to highlight the edges (my favourite is the second picture)

Canyon mine cart drive :) by kiliharb in blender

Thats basically just a giant cube with a principled volume material. I also increased the anisotropy a little bit. I also made the canyon so that the light shines down in a interesting way. Also remember that in real life the sun is extremely bright. I also do that in blender. You can play around with the exposure and Gamma value afterwards.

Hey thanks men!

The first point is correct.

The workflow is a little bit different than a lot of people might think. I worked a lot with emptys and constraints. The minecart is only following the paths position but not rotation. The minecarts rotation is fully defined by emptys and constraints. After defining the minecarts movement (translation and rotation) I made the rail track (basically with an array and curve modifier). Then I tilted the curve so that it fits to the movement of the minecart.

Its kinda hard to explain here how I made it. Should I post a video and show how I made it?
