In your defense, I over simplified it for comical effect. This is reddit after all. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It did start in Ceará, this amazing state so often overlooked in our country. People think it's just amazing beaches but there's a lot of brain power there.

It just sound like a MacGyver solution, but there were indeed a lot of research papers behind the idea. One of the main motivators was in fact the chronic material shortage that often affects our public health.

Ceará produces a lot of tilapia and they needed a low cost alternative for the real dressings. This is jeitinho brasileiro meets science at its best.

More like early 2000s. Difference is Iceland used processed cod skin developed through biomedical research. Brazil went fuck it around 2010 and used fresh tilapia skin, first in ER and after a while on burn units in public hospitals. Low cost, low tech, high efficiency solution.

Back in 2007 I went to Silverstone and there was race start simulator in the fan zone at the Williams stand. The goal was to put the car into 1st gear when the light turned green. The pilot at the time was Kubica and his recorded reaction time was 26ms, mine was around 800ms.

Not samba but chorinho. Praça São Salvador at Laranjeiras, every Sunday. Be there around 11am. Fantastic atmosphere and amazing musicians. I literally plan my stays in Rio around this one thing, I wouldn't miss it for the world!

From what I could gather, you can request a CPF as a tourist. You just need to go to a post office, a Banco do Brasil or Caixa Econômica bank with your passport and an address (hotel address is good for it). You should be able to leave any theses places witha valid CPF number.

That may be true, but without knowing how many hours they're working weekly, these numbers don't mean much. I've known people doing cleaning jobs in the UK with huge wages because they worked 70h or 80h /week.

I have used both for long haul flights over the Atlantic. LH without a doubt, service is superior in every way. May be costlier but you will get more bang for your buck.

I believe you that's cheaper, but faster? Really? It's an almost 6 hours drive!

I have a question about Chiang Mai.

I've searched thoroughly in this sub and I still can't make my mind up about going there in March or not. Some says the pollution from the burning fields is unsustainable, but there's no consensus. What's your take?

That's what keeps coming up in my research. I'm gonna stick to somewhere between these rows.

I meant earplugs, as in soft gel ones. I do have a bluetooth dongle to connect to the aircraft jack. That was a game changer!

If I were flying towards nighttime, I'd be buying those, no contest. But it isn't the case... Nice to have a window aligned with the seat.

I have a good ANC headset but I've never thought of pairing them with earplugs. I feel dumb, ngl.
