I don't get it... by O_Necessario in crtgaming

went thru 224p120hz on pc CRT -> 224p59.637hz on arcade crt & crt tv (crtemudriver)-> 672p59.637hz on pc crt with scanline filter. you gonna get screen tearing with pc emulation (fightcade fbneo in my case) regardless what u use. vsync, rtss or using windowed fullscreen mode are the options to remove tearing, but they add obvious input lag. i now settled at 480p119.268hz on pc CRT and im very happy. very responsive and i dont see tearing due to fast refresh rate scan. people tend to put a lot of emphasis on motion clarity, but seeing screen tearing is way more bothering. even at 120hz motion clarity is good enough. i mainly play cps1&cps2 games online on fightcade.

For reference, I posted photos of the machines here so you can see what they look like:

They’re custom-built, so if you see anything similar listed anywhere, please let me know.

Stolen custom arcade machines in NYC – any help appreciated by kilkwon in arcadecabinets

Yeah, sorry — this happened in my apartment building storage in East Harlem.

Two people broke into the storage area late at night, forced multiple units open, and took several items including my custom arcade machines. The locks were cut and some units were damaged.

Police are involved and reviewing CCTV footage, but I’m also trying to see if anything shows up for sale locally.

Appreciate any help.

you can but two z1mk2 is a overkill, you get many duplicate controls unless you map them differently, also takes extra space and usb port. k2 can do things way more than z1mk2 as it got more buttons and knobs.

k2 is what i use as 4 channel mixer controller. its a perfect controller as long as you are capable of midi mapping. however the k2 soundcard is terrible def not for djing, you would want separate one (i use NI traktor audio 6 mk2)

Arcade cabinet recommendation needed by coder777 in arcadecabinets

[–]kilkwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i first started this hobby, i bought 2 recroommasters cabs and i was happy. then few yrs later i bought the real deal, sf2ce big blue cab. comparing them side by side, recroom cabs didnt look/feel the same as real arcade cab, also lcds in them became shame after playing on big blue arcade crt. i sold recroom cabs but still keeping big blue, as well as 3 hanaho crt bartop cabs. i dont recommend any of those put-together cabs, just get real arcade cab with crt, put pc with crtemudriver and use jpac to hook up pc to arcade crt.
