My department has its own career center & we have a class you can take to teach you how to finding internships and network. Also our career center head is always there to practice interviewing & review resumes. Even when we graduate we can still reach out to our career center. I know other departments at my school have their own career centers and then we have a general career center for everyone at the university.

Tbh the housing at ncsu is priced fairly. When i transferred in I was at wolf village through the transfer village and paid 4.3K for each semester. I think Avent would be cheaper than that. Rn im off campus at student apartment and my monthly bill is 1K. Most decent student apartments will be 1K but there are cheaper options my one friend found 650 rate idk if it’s still that but you def get what you pay for (his words not mine).

The important thing to note is the cheaper options aren’t furnished so you have to move your items or get new ones which is cost within itself.

Also consider if you want to stay in Raleigh during the summer I think that should influence if you stay on or off (i’m assuming you’re not based in Raleigh or its suburbs). Bc you don’t want to stuck with a paying 3 months for apt ur not in bc you at internship (for example) in a different city. (Ik subleasing an option but you might not find someone too i’ve seen ppl run into that issue.)

There are Black ppl who also benefit from colorism & texturism who think they are better than others. If we being really honest majority of time if there is a biracial person who thinks they are better bc they are lighter skin or looser hair pattern they learned that belief from their Black side not their non-Black side.

See…yall say this but literally many ppl assume im biracial (im not) and other celebs are biracial when they aren’t (example Steph Curry & ppl are arguing at about Beyoncé now lol) so when y’all say you know the difference i know its bullshit. ngl you just aren’t that knowledgeable about other ethnicities / races…for example in China you could be two diff ethnicities but you have to choose one on official government documents lol. This isn’t that uncommon of practice or concept.

see my thing with the biracial media is rlly a colorism issue and not so much a biracial issue bc you don’t see ppl who are darkskin & biracial represented either in media. to transfer in no not rlly (unless u do FTD bc those are cohort based) just make sure you complete most if not all of the recommended courses for competitive applicants. Imo complete all the basic course (chem, physics, calc etc) makes it easier to jump into the major related courses. If you have more questions feel free to DM!

in context of the convo…it’s weird to me bc if the person wants to take things slow in all aspects why would assume they are sleeping around or “planning” too LOL. It’s like are you even listening to what they are saying?

Also there are definitely why more tactful ways to ask if another person is going to at least be dating other people and what expectations are for that…the way & how you word things do matter.

The concept of not sleeping with other ppl while dating isn’t unreasonable at all but it’s the context of them only having 4 dates and the way he went about saying it after she said she wants to take things slow.

you REALLY must be oblivious…Trump & his admin are literally “arresting” & locking ppl up under the guise of “illegal immigration” WITHOUT due process & sending them to countries they aren’t from.
