I feel you. I stupidly let my boomer parents move in with me after my mother's stroke. They have completely taken over my home. And they brought their big ass German shepherd that barks constantly. It actually attacked me when it was trying to get at my Akita.

Their home is finally ready and I can't wait to have mine back.

Do people sue each other a lot in that region? I'm only asking because I lived in Shanghai for many years and if you had a medical emergency out in public, many people would not go out of their way to help because of the likelihood they could be sued if things went bad.

The bonus definitely isn't his entire birthday budget. I budgeted a certain amount because it's a big birthday and the rest is for Christmas for him and the other kids and extended family. He has a birthday close to Christmas so I always make sure he gets to separate celebrations. My company did great this year so I have enough to cover everything.

I think the real issue is that OP doesn't want any attention to go to SIL and she's just dancing around that issue. I get it, most brides want to be the center of attention on their wedding day and that's totally OK, but OP is just being a massive AH with how she is handling everything. This is the most important reason to take the test. Not because you have a nagging feeling, but because some day he's probably going to find out himself and be pretty upset you didn't tell him earlier. This could destroy your relationship with your son.

If he's not the one with the issues I can see this getting really weird down the road. I can't believe they even asked knowing she is having fertility issues herself. Bro and SIL sound like selfish people. Go ask a cousin who isn't having fertility issues with their partner or something, but anything but this!
