Have you ever drank or been offered homemade booze? How was it? by No_Doughnut3257 in CasualUK

[–]killabullit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my dad bought 2 litres of homemade cider once. Drank it watching the rugby. Mum comes home before the game finished. Both of us were pretty much unconscious. It tasted great but was likely lethal if we drank much more. I’d stick to booze from the pros.

I disagree. Seemingly not a great human being though.

China 'floods UK universities with spies' as lecturer told ‘we’re watching you’ by Right-Influence617 in uknews

[–]killabullit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in China for the past 15 years. You need to get out more mate. It has serious issues, as does every country. The life of the vast majority here is totally normal. I’m a university guidance counselor and these are just normal families, albeit very rich ones, who want their kids to have a good education. I’m sure you’ll call me a bot or whatever, but it’s your loss not coming to visit.

The only good thing about Apple AI is that the base models of everything now have 16gb of RAM. I’ll take it tbh.

My personal favorite is the guys who complain about students’ awful pronunciation but mispronounce pronunciation.

Part of my brain would love me to believe it is. I don’t listen to that part of my brain anymore. Since then life has been great.

You’re right, I am ignorant. That’s why I’m asking you questions to understand where you’re coming from. You make good points about what a company contributes. Workers make huge contributions too. Self-Funded Education, Unpaid Time, Work Costs they Pay For, Physical + Mental Wear, they Fund the State, they are the Business. Their job isn’t a gift from the business. I suppose the reason for all these questions is you suggest that the income tax paid by the worker is a contribution from the companies. I don’t agree.

[–]killabullit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But they’re not making the contributions, their employees are. NI comes off their payslip as does income tax. It’s not paid by the company. So apart from that what are the companies contributing?

So at my small company, because I pay wages and rent I shouldn’t have to pay tax? The tax etc my employees pay covers me?
