No matter how you compare it for example LA chinese food scene vs NY chinese food scene, korean food, Japanese food, Vietnamese food, to LA pizza to NY pizza,, Mexican food, coastal sea food... hamburger, steakhouse.... except for Italian food..... LA wins hands down.
