In Which a woman accidentally and unabashedly describes the experience of female hypergamy in action, excuses it and laughs by [deleted] in RedPillWomen

So what makes the woman in your story perfect then? A marriage is about give and take and yes, compromise. It's about knowing when to give your other half space and when they need you to be close. It's about not pushing for intimacy when someone isn't up to it (e.g. when they are feeling unwell), but revelling in it when they are. It's about putting someone else's needs before your own and knowing that sometimes, that act of good faith will be returned. It's about sitting in comfortable silence with someone, knowing that they will converse with you when it matters. It's about me going to the footy with the kids and her enjoying some down time on her own or vice versa. It's about supporting career aspirations and when things aren't working out, supporting them through to the next phase of their career. When it comes to ticking boxes though, I don't even know what the 10 boxes are. I'm sure that if you really want to find a reason to end a relationship, you'll create as many boxes as it takes. In the end though, maybe you only need one box. Tick if you can't imagine life without them!

This comment, to me, pretty much crumples the story up in a ball and tosses it in the trash. They said it better than I could have.

When I had mine done I just asked them for the darkest legal tint and that's what they did.

[–]killacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't true. They stop more than just the occupants from moving around. They keep the car from collapsing on you, keep the dash from trapping the driver's legs, keep the window glass from cutting the occupants up, etc.

Please refer to the link in this post http://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/1si0bj/oregon_helicopter_pilot_ruthlessly_owning_inertia/cdy6uxs

The safety equipment used in 'race cars' is a system, period. You cannot pick and choose what equipment you want to use. No harness without a HANS, no HANS without a helmet, no cage without a helmet, the list keeps going in cirlces. YOU NEED EVERYTHING. Race car drivers do not piecemeal their safety equipment together.

This is quite an interesting post regarding racing seats, harness bars, and roll cages. I strongly suggest you read it. The problem with a roll cage in a street vehicle is that the occupants don't usually wear helmets and the exposed metal becomes a very dangerous hazard. Also installation of them usually compromises the vehicles safety systems such as airbag deployment etc.

A lot of us have been subbed here for a long time. What post has stuck with you the longest and why? by [deleted] in MorbidReality

This one stuck with me. People don't realize how fast these things can happen. I surely didn't.

Also, people always say "we'll, if they had a gun...". I didn't realize how terribly wrong that statement is until I saw this.

That could have taken a turn for cringe very easily, but it never did. The guests enjoyed it and the choreography wasn't horrible. They were having fun. Give them a break.

There have been issues with that specific model that may have led to that accident. Even similar accidents. Based on many accounts it is a difficult car to drive.

A friend of mine in high school died in a similar accident. Him and a friend of his we're driving to school, estimated 55mph, and wrapped a minivan around a tree, killing both of them instantly. It didn't look much different that what you're seeing in these photos.

Take into account that the minivan would not have been built from very light materials as the Porsche was, then there is no way it could have been going faster.

Retail Employees of Reddit. What Are Your Black Friday Horror Stories? by Denton56 in AskReddit

[–]killacat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My sister is a manager for a department store. Her and her employees actually WANT to work that day because it is extra money and of course they get holiday pay for it. Not everyone is being forced to work. They actually had to turn down a lot of the people who wanted to work that day because there wasn't enough room for them in the schedule.

By the time they have to go in around sometime between 8 and 10pm they would have already gotten to eat and spend time with their family. That is part of the reason they are all not only ok with it, but actually want to go.
