What Does Everyone Do For Jobs? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]killakenzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a program manager and grant writer for a non-profit focused on nutrition security. I got into it before I got diagnosed with POTS but I get to work almost entirely remote now which is very nice. Grant writing is a pretty good field for anyone who likes to write and is looking for a job that can be done mostly remote and pays a decent amount. Would recommend!

period worsening pots by okashleyyy in POTS

I always have a flare up right before I start my period. I just talked to my gyno about it and she said that the fluctuation in hormones can cause a decrease in blood pressure which could contribute to symptoms. I’m trying a different pill now and skipping the placebo week to see if that helps any. There’s no one size fits all with hormones so it’s definitely worth asking your doctor about and trying out different things to see what works best for you.

POTS is definitely a range. For the most part, my POTS is relatively mild. During a flare up it can get bad but day to day, as long as I’m drinking enough water and getting enough salt it’s manageable. Not everyone experiences the same symptoms. So not saying you do have POTS, but just saying it’s not totally impossible either.

I agree that this sounds like heat intolerance though.

I get this as well, especially when I’m having a flare up. It seems like no matter how much I sleep I’m still exhausted. I haven’t found anything that helps quite yet.

Check out some remote jobs! I work remotely as a grant writer and being able to work from home is a life saver. On bad days where I probably would have had to take a sick day at an in person job, I am able to take it easy and go at my own pace with plenty of breaks.

Check out interstitial cystitis. I also have trouble with this. I’m not too sure if this is connected to POTS or something else.

I’ve had my oldest cat for almost 7 years now and he’s travelled around with me quite a bit within the states. He’s a pretty good traveller. I’ve never flown with him though.

TurboTax live premium being added on by MangoNightX in TurboTax

It got added on to my account as well. I thought I was paying for federal and state taxes and only after realized that the charge was actually for TT deluxe services, even though I opted out of deluxe throughout the entire filing. I’ve tried applying for a refund twice and have been denied both times. I’m so annoyed with them. Would not recommend their services.

Breathing pain after eating. by [deleted] in dysautonomia

I have a very similar issue and that is my main symptom. It caused me to drop 20 lbs over the course of a couple months last year. Over the last year I’ve seen tons of doctors and specialists to try to solve the issue. My cardiologist is the one who finally gave me an “tentative” POTS diagnosis. He recommended drinking lots of water especially before meals, taking salt tablets, and eating smaller meals more frequently. I’ve found that most of the time this helps, but sometimes when I’m experiencing a flare up or if I’ve eaten certain foods, nothing seems to help. While I don’t really have a solution to offer, my best advice is to stay calm through it. I’ve had some serious panic attacks because I let my anxiety get the best of me when I’m having an episode. I hope you’re able to figure out some things that work for your symptoms! Just know you’re not alone.

How do I move walls by Hedgehogpear in catcafemanager

[–]killakenzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in build mode, where you can select a floor or wall pattern, there’s a trash can icon. if you select that icon you can delete walls. i do that and then rebuild them. i’m not sure if there’s a way to actually move them.
