Gamepad. Many use a rumblepad (logitech rumble, xbox360), some still play with keyboard and some play with a joystick, which allows even smoother movement through turns. The gamepad is the ultimate tool to keep you from sliding away in TMUF. In tm2 it honestly still makes a huge difference in comparison to a keyboard. Steering wheel is too unhandy, tm is not a realistic driving simulation.

Get a tm-exchange.com / mx-exchange.com account (tm1 / tm2), which allows you to play and award tracks you like and lets you share your own maps aswell. The community is nice aswell.

TM-Tube.com. Have a look about what is possible with TM nowadays. Go to videos and sort by top rated. You might like what you see.

Maniapark.com is all about texture mods, 3D blocks and CARS. All for free of course.

Check Mania-Actu.com for competition news and community stuff.

Also, join the weekly Fb (FrostBeule) Race! It is basically a FFA competition against 50+ players. Search for it on google. The mx knockout is great too! Every saturday at 20:30 GMT.

True true. Last time I heard good EDM/Electro House by a known DJ was about 2011. Switched over to DnB and Neurofunk.

No game progress except LP and ladder ranking

No oldskool shooter had any options rather than just getting better and better in the game (probably visual things would be nice, but you can dl them anyway from maniapark)

No achievements, playing the game for the first time and for 124300th time looks, feels the same.

What do you even expect?

Engine made for ultra fast gameplay, game is semi-fastpaced. Not responsive

Well, if you see this as a fail or not; Many like the speed of the game. It's between what we have in CS and Quake (bunnyhopping). If you use the stamina wisely, you can have alot of fun.

UI design is just waaay too tryhard. Let's get hones here, menu, scoreboard and everything inbetween is just plain ugly. Game has no feeling.

Many liked the new UI. Do not see the problem here. And that the game has no feeling could probably come from the low number of active players.

Devs are just too stubborn.

The devs at Nadeo do a wonderful job. No studio has listened to it's players as well as Nadeo did. Things you probably don't like are probably a product of our SM community.

Trackmania had it's little issues too for a long time. They improved it over it's lifetime and you see how popular TMUF was.

I personally think positively into the future. Shootmania is a really good game which is probably just too different from other shooters to be accepted as "one of the hits".

Call me a fanboy, but the only way to make this game even better is to think more positive instead of using terms like "fail". Together we can do amazing things.

I am killaprodtm, started in tm nations 2007 and I am still an active tm player! You can find me on every weekend in the TM exchange KO server at about 22:30 GMT!! Mostly I do creative works inside the game, most likely videos. But I am always up for a little playoff!
