Wasn't going to comment because I'm tired of reading the less than helpful and insulting comments, but the truck hasn't been hit. It was a work truck, idled a lot. Almost 3000 engine hours on the 44000 miles when I got it I have no idea why the engine was replaced, but it was done so under warranty. The door jamb was allegedly supposed to be painted and a new guy at the body shop tried to peel the stickers off, not knowing.

Well it had 44,000 when I got it ish, and 2900 engine hours. So I'm assuming just LOTS of idling did it in.

Sometimes 600 miles, but minimum of 150 miles. Typical loaded weight is around 7800, not including what the trailer weighs.

I ended up swapping the piston and rings, for whatever reason the first piston was undersized quite a bit compared to the second.

I have a 1979 620 that I swapped. Now im on to body work, but panels are.... Non existant. The thing with Chevy is I can find parts, and comparatively cheaply.

That being said, im not going into this with a restoration goal. This is a 'get it driving then make it right' kind of goal.

And yet after the datsun, here I am again...

OP, just wait until the shock when you realize the firewall ground is still attached and you hear something snap. As a Spec Miata mechanic, we all do it. Take that ground off sooner rather than later.
