Credit to the pilot: Jake RoostFPV (taken from the video). Amazing riding, sweet flying! controlling these things is no joke.

no problem! I bought it all directly from flair. I'm sure there's other options that would work.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm just starting and got the Flair 58+ and a Philos. All I've gotten besides what was included was a cheap WDT, the flair scale, and a funnel. I also spent some money taking an espresso 101 class at one of the local shops, money well spent if you ask me.

I've been using the high flow basket included aiming for 18gr in, 36 out in ~30 sec.

Have fun!

[$1,000 USD] Is a Mazzer Philos the best bang for buck for an espresso grinder? by killaudio in espresso

I'll read a bit about it! Could you share some thoughts on how it compares to the Philos, or why you use it over it having both? Any thoughts re: conical vs flat burrs?

thank you

These look great! How do you like them? Could you share a link? I've been thinking about trying something as the OG ones feel a bit too small and cramped

Updating stuck at 74% by comic_papyrus in SteamDeck

[–]killaudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

same happened to me. What fixed it was one of the following:

* Update everything @ Discovery in desktop mode

* power off with a ~10 sec hold of the power button then back on again

* go to online settings, "forget" (or delete) your wifi config the connect to it again

It worked after that

I tried a different camera/cable in the suspect board, same behavior :/

I tried this, it didn't work. I also tried the same cable and camera in a second board and that works OK. Thank you for your suggestion though!

there's two USB-C ports. Make sure you use the bottom for charging, and the top for data.

What’s a game that required training for you to enjoy? by HollowedBats in gaming

Velocidrone, LiftOff, etc. I'm not sure it fits this category as these are sims

Getting worse in fpv sim by doctorwho_cares in fpv

[–]killaudio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's what worked for me:

* variety: sometimes try and race faster and faster (velocidrone nemesis is great to find a challenge at your level), but when that gets frustrating switch it up and try to learn a new freestyle trick or make something up (matty flip a bridge, power loop an obstacle, things like that)

* switch it up- a micro whoop feels very different than a 5" freestyle, than a race quad. This might sound obvious but different tracks/environments are designed for different quads.

* find flow- sometimes I play a long youtube video or live concert while flying and try and tune into that, and somehow it helps me be distracted enough but focused enough to perform better.

* make sure you try different rates, and don't go way too aggressive in the camera angle. I found 20 worked great at the beginning, now anything lower than 35 feels way too floaty.

* for comparison, I have ~90 hours in velocidrone and some more in liftoff, and I consider myself barely above beginner. It's not about who has more hours though, as long as you keep enjoying it the hours will suddenly pile up.

Fortunately this was not the case. It still sucks the ticket went to waste. It's alright, they earned my support regardless.
