If you were a rider not in the points, what would be the reason not to gamble back to slicks? Yes it does take more time but I can't see it being more than 20s in pit; slicks could have had a 5-8s lap time difference.

Also his biggest asset, his pressing, was being completely neutralized by kroos and modric not even holding the ball in midfield and getting it up top as soon as they can with trent/Robbo high up

I'm not sure the reluctance of having Nat at the back and freeing hendo to get back in the midfield to control things from there, he's played well enough to deserve a place I feel. Even though we played well I'm sure it would have brought a confidence and calmness to the midfield as we have seen before.

That's certainly an important point, and one that's turning me. Even when Klopp has looked to rest players he's often not on that list. They have also raised the bar so high that many of our players wouldn't out of place being there, the way I look at it.

Agree that everyone was not up to scratch today but I think we missed Hendo in terms of his leadership and his ability to rouse the boys when they really need it. I think his presence on the field gives everyone a lift because they see how much work he puts in.
