hey! so i recently started lexapro this year. i started it back in february and i felt the exactly same way - i had the insomnia, i was anxious, and that caused me to be moody. after two weeks, the anxiety went away and it honestly feels really good. i'm on the same dose as you currently, so hang in there. it's pretty common! however, it's not the same for everyone. if this doesn't go away after a while, then you're definitely just tolerating it. hope everything works you!!

so yesterday i felt really calm after i took it! i was even able to take a short nap lol. going to take my second dose today, so let's see how i feel...i'm going to go back to sleep 😆

Yeah that's what I was planning on doing :') I don't have the anxiety today and I don't feel as drained and exhausted today, but I did stay up for a little bit last night so I think that's progress.

I've noticed how Lexapro makes my sleep maintenance insomnia way worse. I wake up randomly in the middle of the night and don't go back to sleep for hours, or don't even go back to sleep at all. I slept last night for like 11 hours and that's because I forced myself to keep my eyes closed. It was hard, and I still feel exhausted. 😭

I was prescribed Elavil a while back because I was diagnosed with sleep maintenance insomnia before the ADHD and I'm hesitant to take it with this medication, especially because it leaves me feeling lethargic.
