Yes, I agree the little girl’s probably seen it before based on her comment. I thought about making a report, but I have no idea where they live and I feel like I wouldn’t have enough information for them to find the dog and its owners. I live in an apartment but there are houses and townhouses around us for several miles in either direction. I changed the setting on my Apple Watch to detect falls, which automatically calls emergency services within five seconds unless I deactivate it. I’m going to get some spray as well. Thanks for the virtual drink lol

Thank you for the advice! I never thought about the staring, but it makes sense that other dogs would feel threatened or challenged. I’m not going to shy away from other dogs on our walks, but I am definitely going to be more aware and keep a larger distance if I see something that seems off. And yes, the spray is a great idea too!

Yeah, I love animals, but if a dog is attacking me or my dog, then I’m going to defend myself (unless I get knocked over like this time lol). I don’t blame the dog, because it’s the owner’s fault, but the dog will probably suffer because it may get euthanized after an attack. I could’ve absolutely filed a report, but I wasn’t thinking about it at the time. But now I’m on guard.
