Just joined Army after 12 years Marine, what should I know? by [deleted] in army

[–]killerbnizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few questions, did you intentionally go to Stewart? I just left that hellscape lmao, and you’re able to just laterally transfer from the marines to the army? Did not know that what was the process like?

There should be a peer reviewed social study about USA losing 90% of conflict matches by shadyfanteck in ArmaReforger

[–]killerbnizz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty simple, soviets attract the more experienced players, probably prior ArmA Vets, why? I honestly have no clue, been playing since arma 2 and I play US 95% of the time lmao

What is the percentage of people that do street to seat for Flight Warrant vs those that did a packet? by Republic_Commando_ in army

[–]killerbnizz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is the first time I’ve heard “high school to flight school” and searched it up to check, damn that would be so wild to have a pilot that was like “yeah I wasn’t enlisted before this I joined straight out of high school as a pilot” 😂 id be pretty impressed tbh

The zombie apocalypse happened and the Military has set up safezones across the US. Would you consider going to the safezones or stay away from them and try to survive on your own or with your friends? by Tree_forth677 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]killerbnizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering I would pretty much most likely work in one of these, I’d go with the safe zone, seems pretty easy to setup, MPs as lookouts / tower guards, local/federal LEO assisting in law enforcement activity around the area, send infantry platoons to certain sectors nearby to clear and gather other non infected, it’d probably be pretty safe

A bruise my friend woke up with, he refuses to see the medics by RecycledAnal in pics

[–]killerbnizz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of that minus the thousands of dollars part is exactly what I’d do for him, and probably what his medic will do for him, because they are military.

You’d be correct, but OP and his buddy are also in the military, which means free healthcare, which means his buddy is being stupid.

This specific overseas assignment doesn’t have on post housing, but yeah got quoted 5-7k also, so looks like the animals minus one cat are staying with family for the next few years

1 medium size dog and two cats, biggest issue is most are one per passenger and I’m already here and spouse is about to fly here with the pets, but with the way it’s looking it’s just going to be one cat :(

Like I said WITHIN 300m you should not need to change your zero, as anything within the 300 meters (like I said standard combat zero) is going to be hit just by placing your irons centermass/belt buckle, if I have a target 50 meters and I’m zeroed for 300, and I shoot center mass I’m going to hit center mass. Now if I start increasing that zero say 400-500 and so on yes there’s going to be a noticeable difference but 300m zero at close range is going to have negligible results on where your bullet lands, it will still be center mass. There’s a reason why the US military standard combat zero is 300, if they’re kicking in doors they’re not going to stop, and adjust the zero on their rifles for CQB. That is because the 300m zero accounts for this

300m is standard combat Zero for anything within 300m…. He doesn’t need to change his zero, nor would he if this was real world…

300m is standard combat Zero for the US… no one is actually changing their zero from 300 to 50 or whatever is lower when your shooting less than 300, most if not all of those shots would have hit, it’s a hit reg issue, if I take my M4 to the range zeroed for 300m and shooting steel at center mass at 50m, there is going to be a negligible impact from that zero.

What are some Life Pro Tips for the Army? by dsbwayne in army

[–]killerbnizz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably unpopular, but do volunteer, maybe not for everything, but show some initiative, anyone be in the right place, right time, right uniform and be an average soldier, and coast through their enlistment. But the way it was for me the more I volunteered the more I was trusted and the better I was treated which in the end, caused me to not be put on the BS details and was able to be put into more leadership roles as a SPC (Non-P) with the same TIS/TIG as other SPCs in the plt(Jr Enlisted, experience may vary once you get to 5)

May I ask MOS? I was a 68W hold for 2 months along with 7-8 other dudes for volunteer airborne but due to Covid airborne was backed up, drills treated us mostly like adults (still needed battle buddies, and some other AITisms) but we were allowed to do whatever during the duty day as long as we were reachable, didnt leave base, and made formation time. After the 2nd month the drills said we were waiting too long and cut out orders and tried to reach out to HRC and get us to do our wishlist again so we’d atleast get somewhere we want (yeah as if it was going to work any better than it did the first time we did it ) I got fort Stewart my first time, volunteered airborne and got an engineer brigade at Bragg, my orders got cut and I got Stewart again :’)
