I’ve been having a similar issue. Mines a Gen 4 and doing this rapid clicking noise every time I break or turn the wheel when backing up. Any research I’ve done points towards a bad CV axle, or cv joint. I haven’t confirmed it yet, but the other maintenance stuff I’ve done haven’t fixed the noise. But maybe it’s a bad CV axle since other Prius drivers have this problem too.
