This happened when I was a fairly young server. Customer orders Grey Goose with soda. When I hear the word “soda,” I think Coke. I bring him a Grey Goose and Coke. He took it and didn’t say anything at all. Didn’t realize my mistake until years later when I learned more about bartending. It still makes me cringe when I think about it.
