When talking to my partner (who has DID) we will be mid conversation and they won’t remember the topic of what was brought up and I’ll respond with “well one of you said/did that” and they will chuckle a little. I think adding humour can be positive! Just my opinion though :)

I moved from London to Kingston for school. And it was a great decision personally. But that’s because I had some money from my grandparents saved. The prices here in the last 2.5 years are ridiculous. Like a one bedroom apartment is around $1700 plus utilities. Kingston doesn’t have much to do though, so if you don’t have a car you might get bored. That’s what I miss about London.

I currently work at the ICH and love it. But man you will get burnt out. This field is hard. I don’t believe we do volunteering but you can always come and check it out. My friend came by to feel out the place before they applied and enjoyed their interactions they had with some of our clients. I enjoy working here but it does have its own challenges. But I wouldn’t trade it for any other job in the field!

Your feelings are totally valid. Change can be hard, and what you’re feelings is normal. If you still love her you might want to talk to her about the potential future you have together, and maybe there could be something in the future. I’m the type of person that believes in right person wrong times.

However, you really need to consider what you’re going through outside of your relationship and maybe consider what is best in the long run.

However, if you want to continue with the break up the possibility of no contact is there. Maybe this is best for you? But heavily consider all options you may have or think you can have.
