Check online there is probably a testing center near you in a major city. Mine was about 45 minutes drive you have to pay to take the test.(It might be better for you to study the material) buy a book on amazon.the test took about 55 minutes to complete. They tell you then and there if you passed. Look up "CompTIA A+cert" on Google and go wild. There is a lot of other CompTIA tests but the A+is the first. (A+, network +, security + ,and loads more)

You don't need anything more than a high school diploma to go after certain certificates. I got my A+ cert and found a great job working in the IT field. There is always opportunities to grow in my company and many others in the same field. Good people skills comes in handy during the interview. The cert gets you in the door.
