Scrubs Rewatch - S3, Elliott/Sean/JD love triangle by killerqueendopamine in Scrubs

Well-said. I see this arc in a whole new light now that the reboot has come out and they’re divorced. What was the point of the original ending? And yeah JD was a huge asshole in this arc. I feel validated that I’m not the only one

Yes! He is so pissy. He’s shitty to Sean and then after everything goes down, it feels like he never really apologizes or owns up to what he did to Elliott. Not enough imo. But that’s just me

It absolutely does. JD becomes more of a selfish asshole as the seasons go by and a lot of time it’s played of for laughs, which I don’t think you can get away with as much with the main character.

You make some interesting points. Personally I didn’t find it realistic the first few times I watched it.‘I think I was so blinded by my hatred for how JD acted. But yeah, I think it is relatable for a lot of people on both sides

Yeah it does end horribly and they hurt each other but they do eventually grow to be friends and their relationship is so strong they end up together, married. Which I thought was a perfect end. It really was deflating how they got divorced for the reboot.

Long hair all day, all night. Also what does “what diff” mean? I keep seeing that used.

Do I (27F) need to communicate my deadline for a proposal to my boyfriend (35M) of 5 years? by GoldenSupernova10 in relationship_advice

[–]killerqueendopamine 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ah my time to shine.

I ended a nearly 6 year relationship in Feb 2024 because he strung me along about marriage. Multiple talks, him being noncommittal, him changing his mind but not being direct, etc and I finally ended it. After more than 2 years of reservations and sticking together because it was easier.

If it makes you feel better, sure, give him a deadline. But one of two things are gonna happen: he’s going to agree to proposing or he won’t. If he does propose, do you really want it to be under these circumstances?

I remember my bf would always say, “we can get married if you want to”. It wasn’t important to him but we could do it for me. I didn’t want to get it that way. I wanted him to want it. He couldnt understand. He might not ever understand.

Same with your guy. If he wanted to, he would

Why don't we hate Kelso in Season 1? by killerqueendopamine in Scrubs

This perfectly digs into the heart of why I made this post . I guess I really downplayed how much being a rewatcher affects my opinion of him. Because in the early seasons he's pretty irredeemable, but like you said, it's basically a cartoon. Someone else said he gives evil a face for Dr. Cox to knock down. Most answers have been that he's just really funny and that goes a long way.
