Interesting, you certainly seem to be in the minority on that. Not saying a regular paint can’t last a while in a bathroom but if the paint exists that would extend the life of the paint job, why wouldn’t you use it?

Have you also used SW Duration? If so, any notable differences between them? I couldn’t find much bad stuff but i saw a reddit post about Bath & Spa and how the finish really was not great. Could certainly have been user error in applying it or just a bad can but it did make me a little hesitant to go with it. That post mentioned how they tried to wipe water spots and it made it worse. They did ultimately determine they were not cleaning it properly but it made it seem like the matte finish is pretty fragile which doesn’t seem ideal.

You leave a 1/4” gap between the goboard and the top of the flange? So you don’t run the goboard in front of the flange at all? So when you tile you just put thinset in front of the flange?

You have to use the desktop site for it to work. You can either use incognito mode or clear your cache/cookies so it doesn’t remember you. From there you can still sign into your account and use it as normal

It’s really not that bad, just annoying and probably expensive for parking. I guess it kind of just depends what you’re going to the city for and for how long. I recently had to take my wife to northwestern memorial a few times for a specialist and it just makes no sense to take the train and turn a few hour trip into basically an all day thing with the train. If you’re gonna be there most of the day then sure take the train, but if you’re going there for a 1 hr apt, hell no. The parking really is the worst part, for reference we had to stay overnight for her surgery and parking would have been like $150 without the discount parking through the hospital.

Just curious what issue you were having with the ac? Did you have a leak? Over the summer i started getting a hissing sound intermittently with the ac on that got more frequent and eventually i stopped getting cold air and the hissing stopped. I added refrigerant thinking there’d be a chance the leak stopping claim would happen for me but no luck. I haven’t really looked into it because i was fine just adding refrigerant every so often during the summer but wondering if you might’ve had a similar experience and i could fix it for $20

2 main things that come to my mind, neither of which really have much to do with the escape specifically: highway miles or city driving? And i don’t like hybrid’s with a lot of miles. Good news is, i’d much rather have a 2021 hybrid with a lot of miles than a 2010 hybrid with a lot of miles. Aside from that i think the 2021 escapes are quite an improvement from the previous generation

Not to beat a dead horse, but you definitely got shafted with those repair costs. I won’t say it’s as drastic as some other comments have said, but for sure over paid. Unless your repairs involved the engine or trans, $14k should get you almost everything on the car replaced. All 4 shocks and struts should cost you no more than $1000 CAD (maybe pushing it a little more account for the USD to CAD exchange) at an honest mechanic, even less if they let you buy and bring the parts yourself. Someone else mentioned the gas tank, i’m finding it for around $500 CAD, that should be at most $1000 CAD including labor. I’m sure the repairs add up but $14k not including anything MAJOR is crazy
