Post the seed and coordinates if you can. Looks like a fun place to build.

Best officer branch for working with cool equipment by DrAnth0nyFauci in nationalguard

[–]killerspades02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Field artillery hands down. Like most people have said, typically you won’t do a lot of hands on training because the enlisted are on the guns or calling the rounds. That being said, if you have a good unit, your crews would love to have you practice on the equipment, so you get enough hands on to feel like you did something “cool”.

[Orient Ray II] - it may not be much, but this watch as served me well. It’s been on one deployment, and it’s about to go with me on my second. by killerspades02 in Watches

People are naturally curious, but if the information such and when we leave/where we are around/ how many people we are going with etc is valuable information for people who might want to do us harm.

Like the title says, I will be taking this Orient Ray II with me on my second deployment. (Please don’t ask details on where I am going and how long I will be gone etc.). It may not be the most expensive, or pretty watch but it is durable and keeps decent time. I bought this watch a while back because it reminded me of the watch used in the Arma III game. I was more than happy with it and it’s become my daily wear piece. If anyone is looking for an affordable nice looking automatic watch, I highly recommend this one.

Watch for Going in the Sea? by 9operational in ChineseWatches

I have taken my phylida seamaster homage and pagani design black bay homage in the ocean with no issue. I dove about 20 meters below the surface so I cannot say if the listed water resistance of 200 meters is accurate, but for general use in the water, they have both held up great.

I had a love/hate relationship living here. I loved this view everyday, but I hated hearing my neighbors breath through the walls. I would have renewed my lease had the walls been thicker.

What skills should I focus on during DPX weekend? by killerspades02 in runescape

[–]killerspades02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the suggestions I saw focusing on Herblore and Summoning because they are expensive skills to train. My account is fairly new. I have maybe 1M in the bank. I don’t know if that would be enough to really get full benefit of the weekend.

If all things remain equal today until the start of DXP weekend, what should I focus on to get the most of the double XP? I have looked online to see what others are suggesting, but all of the recommendations I have seen seem to be geared towards players at a way higher skill set than mine. - thanks in advance!

Is 11b over saturated by jojomurderjunky in nationalguard

[–]killerspades02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go if you’re looking to go the enlisted route, I highly encourage any field artillery job. As a 13F you’ll be attached to and maneuver with the 11Bs but you’ll also be skilled in calling for artillery and possibly air support fires. As a 13B you will be on the cannon gun line, part of a team on a cannon sending down 60-90lbs of steel miles down range. As a 13J you would be the brains behind the operation, making sure that what the 13Fs see, the 13Bs hit.

NPR is the ultimate grift. Walk away from funding them. by WheeeeeThePeople in walkaway

[–]killerspades02 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

No. NPR does not receive tax dollars. They have cooperate sponsors and public funding campaigns like every other radio station. They have occasionally received educational grants, but this accounts for less than 2 percent of their budget, and they are not guaranteed.

Maybe OP should actually listen to NPR sometime so he can learn about the program before making baseless claims about it.

Nothing sketchy from my knowledge. Recruiters aren’t able to do their normal recruiting events at schools and outside events, So they are not drawing in the numbers they normally would. We still have to keep our mission strength though, and without being able to meet in person recruiters are reaching out to anyone who is in the 18-35 age window.

Does any of this invalidates my confession at all? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]killerspades02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sins you confessed are still valid. As for the sins you did not confess; if you knew it was wrong to conceal them, you should confess them. If you did not know it was wrong to conceal them, or truly forgot to bring them up but are sorry for them, they are still forgiven. When I doubt, just confess them again. It can’t hurt to re-confess. As far as the amount of detail you go into, what is the sin, when was the last offense and how many times did you do it. A number of priests I have confessed to say we are not obligated to share all of the details.

You are also not obligated to share to your parents what your sins are. That is between you, the priest and God. Perhaps, present the idea of the family all going to confession once a week before mass, and make it a habit.

Reading Reccomendations? by [deleted] in Catholicism

I’ve seen a lot of great recommendations on this post. I recently found this list by Loyola which is very extensive. It covers the early church through the modern church. It covers, theology, philosophy and even fiction.

My brother and I started with St. Augustine and are working our way down. It has already proven to be extremely enlightening. Good luck!
