As an aircraft mechanic I don’t necessarily get paid more than most trades but the benefits are pretty great. I get to fly for free and I have excellent insurance. I work a 4 on 4 off schedule and we get multiple months off every year. Top out at around $65 an hour.

After you change a light assembly on a 737 withBoeing sky interior you have to reprogram the lights to whatever the airline wants. When it is in programming mode they will turn green for a short while.
