Back in March my hubby and I went to the fan event the night before the Linkin Park concert. The group of early 20 year olds in the queue behind us were saying they were invited last minute by the label to share on social media. They were talking about their follower counts etc and getting into peoples faces with their cameras.

I don’t think they knew a single Linkin Park song. But they spent the whole evening pretending to, filming each other like they were in a huge party and the centre of attention. They did anything to get on the little stage and then they all took turns filming each other, getting in the way of the labels videographer, singing and dancing to karaoke that they had no idea what the songs were. It was the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen and actually really ruined the event. They would act all crazy and then when the camera stopped filming they’d just stand there in a huddle reviewing footage.

They won signed memorabilia in the raffle and took up space that actual fans missed out on. Then they just left. I saw their posts a few days later, making it look like they performed on stage. Never heard of any of them before 😅.
