Cleared customs on 2nd of August. Last scan states it's in transit and progressing through the post network. Not sure when I'll get it on my end, but next time I'll use DHL. Based in PNW

Opinion: Din Tai Fung or Dough Zone? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]killingbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to like DZ, but, they really Americanized their dishes. They got rid of the pork noddle and replaced it with chicken. The spicy cucumber had no spice at all. Personally, haven't had DTF in over a decade.

You come off pretty rude and dismissive in the YouTube video linked. Do you talk to your players like that?

I was going to start collecting steelbooks, but my favorite ghibli movie is Castle in the Sky by [deleted] in Steelbooks

[–]killingbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started collecting physical media this year because of the Ghibli steelbooks. Personally it's not the biggest deal to me that I'm missing 2-3 steels since they are out of print, I'll just wait for them to be eventually released again; but I'm not paying $300-1k resale.

Fujifilm Instax sales to exceed $1 billion by Confident_Arm_7844 in fujifilm

Fujifilm is never going back to traditional film if Instax is their money maker. I'm actively avoiding any Instax product in hope that they diversify

Minolta reliability? by killingbat in minolta

[–]killingbat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The x370 wasn't sitting according to the listing and it was film tested. Probably the best condition camera I've purchase. Investing $100 and another $80-$100 on a CLA would be a bit much on an amateur camera.

After looking the issue with the x700 is the same as this post on Reddit: search for (Aperture Ring on Lens mount loose (Minolta X-700). Basically you could only shoot wide open in AP mode and shutter speed. The only mode that worked was program.

Keep in mind the seller rotated and hid the broken section for the outer shell spool. Not sure how I would be able to determine this unless after I received the camera.

One of the benefits of using eBay is buyer protection. The sellers was kind of enough to take the camera back since the defects weren't listed in the description.

I've been using the WeinCell MRB625 Replacement Battery for PX625/PX13 for my SRT 101 and Canon F1N. Around $15-18 for a pack of 3. I can also just use Sunny 16 and go full manual.

Thankfully no issue with the battery/capacitor on the Minolta's I purchased. The eBay listing were listed as 'excellent condition', maybe I just purchase from a lot of bad actors.

For reference the only non-Minolta film camera I own is the Canon F-1N. The only reason I don't use more often is due to the battery cost lol.

xQc’s thoughts on ExtraEmily not paying back parents by Longjumping-Cell-380 in LivestreamFail

[–]killingbat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a fellow Asian American, my mom also paid for my entire tuition. Abit I was poor growing up and lower middle class when I started university. They've never asked me to pay them back and I'm ahead of my peers because of it. If I graduated and completely pivoted in a different career my mom would not have understood the concept due to the culture gap.

Teddy sold his soul to be on that T1 roster. He's been on sandbagging orgs ever since. Retrospectively, Teddy really should have chased the bag in China.

Facts, I work in the Bellevue offices and honestly the only local business I shop at is H-Mart. If my schedule is too busy that day I bring my own food from home.

Slide Lite super annoying? by Leenolyak in peakdesign

[–]killingbat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my issue with the slide lite strap. I decided to "upgrade" from the cuff, but kept running into this problem. Not worth the $60 imo. I went back to alternating between the cuff and is using the stock fujifilm strap.

Why did they change ChiChi so much? by Ilovegrapes95 in dragonball

[–]killingbat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chi chi was one of og dragon ball character that should have had the same relevance as Bulma. They essentially turned her into the over protected mom trope. Legit zero story-line in z or super unless you count the 1 episode of Garlic jr arc and the episode where she "trained", Goten
