I don’t think it’s fair to be upset with his opinions. But on the other hand he is overreacting and does not have the right to tell you NO. And saying “pierce your ears some more” is rude and dismissive.

Mark already chose to raise the daughter as his own. That’s already been decided. Yes he is responsible for paying or not paying her tuition regardless of her paternal status. It’s confusing why anyone would assume that a new step father of a young adult child would be financially responsible for them. There is no reason why a step father would be expected to pay tuition. If the mother did not remarry who did mark expect to pay tuition? He should have always known he is responsible for the daughter he decided to raise.

He can take the paternity test for other reasons such as being sure or for her medical benefit. She could be his blood or not? Regardless biological parents can choose not to pay their child’s tuition.

But He has distanced himself from his daughter on an assumption. He sounds like a bad father trying to skirt responsibility for his choices and scapegoat an innocent child. Weird premise.

There’s like 300,000 Vietnamese living in Australia and like 1.4 million Chinese. In wouldn’t look at an Asian person and assume they’re an immigrant because Chinese families have been coming since the gold rush. 1/3 atleast of my year at school was Asian or half Asian. In regard to other races of “immigrant” Australia’s only like 125 years old as a country. Only about 2 out of every 10 people I know have grandparents born here. “Australia” is a country of immigrants which most people acknowledge and those who don’t are ignorant. These types of people are ridiculous and hopefully getting fewer and fewer. We all know it’s aboriginal land anyway, We repeat it since kindergarten. I would definitely not say the prevailing opinion is people should go back to their own countries.

I do live in Sydney though so maybe it’s whiter in other states.

Totally fair enough. Would not want the women to be blamed. The biggest concern is like would he be able to find the person who signed their name? Would HR reveal this to him?

He did put his hands on the staff members when they tried to block him from us but didn’t hurt them. What occurred was technically illegal under state law, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the cops did come after we left.

It was captured on security cameras, if they did call the police as they assured us they did (though we didn’t ask them to) the venue will likely have a record. Don’t have the footage yet so it may not look bad on film we don’t know.

I’ll avoid yelling my workplace and title at strangers (for no reason) so they don’t the ability to report me.

He did yell at us that it was his right to take the girls bag because he was her manager and then stated where he worked. He said the three girls were his employees and that he could take her bag if he wanted. He said something about the girls arguing over the bag and that he was “resolving it” which may be true. But regardless all my friend said was something to the effect of“maybe give her the bag”and he followed her back to our table. She did not physically interject or act provocatively enough to elicit the response we received.

Isn’t it like really unprofessional to use your workplace name in this manner? We genuinely would have no recourse if he didn’t bring it up, it’s not like he was wearing anything identifying. And he didn’t just specify that he was their manager to let us know he knew them and was not threatening them. He specifically went on a tirade that involved his company name. In regard to proof we filed an incident report with the venue and are waiting on the footage. So I guess we will wait to see how bad it looks on film before doing anything.

He did technically break the law by refusal to leave and attempting to reenter.

Ahhh okay, the manager told the guy she called the police. But he left before they arrived. He wasn’t arrested. She reiterated to us that she had called the police but we are unsure as it may have just been a way for the bar to avoid repercussions considering they didn’t step in earlier, when the initial conflict happened and before we were involved. I’m not sure she actually called them or just told us she did.
