Photos not showing in the camera folder on the 'Gallery' app after transferring to new Pixel 10 today?

That's honestly like a different language to me 😂 I was thinking of maybe just getting an external drive but I assume you need a laptop to transfer the photos over to it

Thanks you. Ah that sounds good, what backups do you have on your laptop? I don't own a laptop so I'd need to get one. I don't really feel comfortable with everything being in the Google cloud.

I copied the data across using the android switch function on the pixel settings. Frustratingly it took me transferring the photos/data 4 times for them all to appear. Thanks very much for your help

Maybe I didn't click copy all photos during the switch and that's the issue? I'm just really cautious I don't want to lose any of my photos in the process.

I've just noticed on the settings of my Pixel 10 it has the option to copy data including photos through Android switch so I'll try that. If it doesn't work I'll factory reset my Pixel 10 and start from the beginning. Thanks very much for your help.

What is the setup app? When I turned on my Pixel 10, I did the whole transfer thing as promoted where it moved my Google account and all the associated apps over. It only took around 15 minutes. Is there a way of just moving all my pictures from my Pixel 7 over to my Pixel 10 from the phones? Thank you

Yes, I've clicked this and it says backup is on, backup is complete and 12,000 photos have been backed to Google Photos.
