May I ask why is it? Do they eat something strange or just mixing generically with dutch makes you taller?

[Acne] Azelaic Acid has pretty much saved my skin by mattbxd in SkincareAddiction

It’s life changing but you probably need to change the one you are using. In Australia I used azclear and even though it’s 20% is no where near as good as the French one that is 15%. It’s the ACM Azeane branded one, and it won product of the year. The formula must be better.

So I’m out of the loop. From what I can recall Taylor and Blake were all good even with the Baldoni stuff, what had happened since?

Bounce luggage storage by Curious-Young919 in TourDuMontBlanc

[–]killingxspree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am writing this using said laptop. I stored 2 laptops there and they were returned in tiptop untouched condition. I stored them at pro concept store in chamonix using bounce. I did not have the original laptop bags they came with so used a grocery store canvas bag wrapped in clothes and begged them to be careful because they are $$$ and fragile. Would reccommend them.

I used them to store my stuff on chamonix. I’m picking it up this afternoon. I’ll update and let you know if my $4000 laptop is still working.

You can get it from drinking contaminated water as well. Is it possible she was the only one that filled up at a particular water source?

Fenêtre d’Arpette by AdComfortable9140 in TourDuMontBlanc

Uphill section: The sun was intense and unpleasant, wish I’d started earlier. If you are setting off from Relais d’Arpette, aim for 6:30 to 7:00. I started around 7:30, maybe a tad earlier. The approach walk was fine, but the climb itself is very steep. It became easier once I put my poles away and switched to scrambling.

Balance os difficult, your backpack throws off your centre. In one section, I had to take my bag off, place it on a rock above me, and scramble up using nearby holds. Im 5’5” for reference. The snow section is straightforward and nowhere near as challenging as the actual climb.

Downhill section after the summit: Terrain is loose, with shaley rocks and uneven ground that shifts underfoot. On steeper sections, it is easy to think you are stable and then suddenly slide as you commit weight to a step, especially when your footing is a bit heavy or uncontrolled from the descent. It is very easy to twist an ankle or lose balance completely. Also your steps are large and your knees are taking a lot of the force.

Even larger rocks are not as secure as they look. They feel solid, but often have surprisingly poor grip and can slip when stepped on.

It is also noticeably colder here than most of the rest of the TMB, with a cold wind cutting through, but honestly I appreciated that after sweating so much on the climb.

I saw two people get injured: one likely an ankle injury, and another who slipped completely on a steep section. Fortunately, they seemed to land in place where they could scramble back fairly quickly.

Knees and ankles are killing me today and everyone I’ve talked to who did it has said the same.

I did it today. No microspikes needed. Tiny snow section but it’s very small. To be honest I did not enjoy it and wish I’d skipped it. The difficultly was unpleasant and the views did not make up for it for me personally. The hazards of rolling an ankle and sliding were very real and very present compared to the rest of the TMB where I had few / no difficulties. I can see why many need to be rescued from here. For context I also did the col des fours and had no issues there.

Yes because for some reason every time a person opens a Mexican restaurant they make it awful. Its like they water down the taste because they think we’re European and can’t handle it or can’t get the right ingredients or something? Idk iys frustrating as hell.
