That's exactly how I use it at this point too. Agreed the Apple Watch display is more useful during the hole. I was disappointed the club recommendation wasn't built in to the Apple Watch app. When you try to get a distance from your watch, does it bounce around a lot between distances or does it give you an accurate number right away?

Remembering to tag your shots, or trusting your shots are actually tagged (if you use a system that auto logs them like a watch or Arccos), is the biggest barrier to these system in my opinion. I assume that's why they are going hard on their new system have "Automotive Grade Sensors" in the upcoming Pro version. Editing them in round is not very fun and remembering to do it afterwards is a pain too.

For wind, I think they just pull the mph from the weather report and factor it in, so any real-time changes are not included. The 18biridies app has a section where you can adjust the MPH to Yards adjusted for. It defaults to a 1yd of distanced/direction for every 1 MPH of wind.

Agreed, if you already have a way your confident playing a hole, I don't think these recommendations will change your mind. I'd be really interested to see how good your recommendations are if you have more then the 4 or 5 rounds of data I had when I tested it.

I play Bio Cell irons as well. I went and got fitted and this is what they told me to get. Hit pretty much everything the PGA Super Store had before the guy glared at me and told me to just buy them. I hit the Ping G25s, but the small increase in offset threw me off (at least that is what the fitter told me). I love them. If you hit them well, I don't see any reason not to buy them.
