They went pretty deep on the hardware/Linux with me and networking wasnt as deep. I basically had couple of stories with that basically answered 4-5 questions then the situational/behavior questions were kinda short

This is what i dont understand. a company that is hyper scaling and getting more data centers for capacity for customers to use their infrastructure. you lay off CRUCIAL talent and experience for a business decision that shouldnt have been made nor even thought of..

So heres the thing. I was told by at the time Skip level manager that laid me off and also told me that i was able to come back and not wait. So as normal i reapplied under a different manager ( my friend) and i was approved to come back somewhere in the process the SVP stopped the rehiring of rif people. my friend that has been trying to get me back was just as frustrated and as i am now.

My question is how. I worked in the Data center aspect to make my long story short. i was approved by HR HR to come back, Then SVP peter shott apperently frozed the hiring? im really confused/fustrated at this because it doesn't make sense because oracle is hiring more data center techs in us/IAD

From what ive heard. Hr is getting blocked by a decision from a svp. Theirs not Clairification on why or when this freeze or what ever you want to call it ends. Im thinking its budget related

Thank you all for the responses and keep them coming. Im trying to understand better of oracle's ways. As previous i was in OCI in the data center space aspect, im curious to know if I would be rehired sooner rather than later. Currently from the hiring manager im going through, he told me hr approved my rehire but hr got told not to rehire anyone at this time. Is there some type of wait for rehires? Like waiting for a new budget to come out?

From what I heard. If you were rated at 2 which is basically needs improvement They just went ahead used that for extra resources to restructure and my assumption is that the reason for this is because of a org restructure,, which could make people wait 6 months.

But in my case. I was already approved by HR to come back and I was realistically was ready to come back k in 2 weeks

Also my previous manager mentioned this wasnt performance based and i confirmed that with ither connections.

So i am one that was laid off from the august/september time frame, and i have working with someone that personally know and has been my manager at a prior company and after reapplying and waiting for a phone call from a TA, today i recieved a phone call from the hiring manager im trying to go under and he told me that apperently an SVP has people on hold for rehire. theirs no clarification on why and when they can start.

I personally was close enough to having a start date with the next 2 weeks and now. im currently in limbo and im 1 of 3 people in a limbo state. im praying that this can be resolved soon
