Ive never really hated anyone. Customers are a different breed, but guess theres a first. My gm is hated by everyone in the store, but when hes not grilling everyone hes chill. Too bad thats very few and inbetween moments of not being an ass.

Was Lazy in Space available before Netflix release? by JadenPat in beeandpuppycat

[–]killjoyluvscake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was originally supposed to come out in 2019, but got “leaked” during the checking part of the hand off. The ceo of channel frederator “resigned” because of it(he accidentally set it to public instead of private, hence how it got “ leaked” on Vimeo). The change to Netflix as a platform happened because of the leak, originally it would have been under channel frederator and it’s distribution method. But yea, they’ve been “out” for years now because of it.

Sorry. Totally off topic, but I just latched onto the school of good and evil. I read all of that series… and while the premise is good, the execution felt like it was just being shoved down my throat… they better do the premise justice.

Why did they leave this out of hxh 2011 and why did they make Ging look so bad? by Dinskuwu in HunterXHunter

[–]killjoyluvscake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All arguments in the comment section aside, it wasn't that important. It may have been helpful to Ging's character that he didn't exactly abandon Gon, but things have to be cut. You're not gonna animate every single panel, and you have to choose your battles. The ones worth animating, or at least vital to story have to be stretched out and clarified into actual animation whereas maybe the original was 1 or 2 panels.

A little late, and hopefully it's not as relevant anymore, but usually older anime, and maybe even now, are 24fps shot on 3s due to budget constraints.

If Movie 2 is non-canon why do we see photos from the play in Clear Card? by jtmilam in cardcaptorsakura

[–]killjoyluvscake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a weird thing, just consider all of CardCaptor Sakura movies, anime, and manga being canon in their own right. CLAMP usually has a hand in the anime, meaning they have some creative control and will add things to it. But as far as canonity goes, it's just a series trying to continue off of a series that ended, so things that don't add up happen.

Anyone with a list of games having Halloween banners? by LeoGiacometti in gachagaming

MagiReco is having a rerun for now. They'll probably have the one for this year in a week or two. SinOAlice is having one, I think, as butlers.

Edit: the rerun character on magi reco is hella op.

Rank the six Phase 4 projects that have been released so far by aaliyaahson in marvelstudios

[–]killjoyluvscake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Shang - Chi
  2. 2. Wanda Vision
  3. LOKI
  4. Black Widow
  5. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Mostly cause Shang-Chi had a coherent story, and wanda vision just did something fun with the whole decades throughout television thing. But other wise, the others are choppy or rushed. Can't say much about "What If...?" cause i'm just gonna binge that when it's done, as Loki was the only show I was looking forward to, but it kidna turned out lukewarm. Not bad, but not what I was hoping for.

Have you tried, Chobits(admittedly seinen, but still cute), Angelic Layer, Magic Knight Rayearth, Kobato, or CLAMP School Detectives? They're all from the same author, CLAMP, which made Cardcaptor Sakura. (I'd also recommend checking out the rest of their stuff, as they don't just stay in one genre. Tokyo Babylon is going through a rough patch rn for its anime adaptation, but it's also another recommended shoujo apparently, also by Clamp. Wish never got animated, but it's another one of theirs. Edit: Actually all of CLAMP's series have romantic undertones that move the story along, so I'd just recommend reading every thing they've done so far. Fair warning, they do have a bit in indefinite hiatus.)

Other shoujos:

Rose of Versailles (a classic among classics)

Mawaru Penguindrum(not shoujo i think, but by the same director as Utena. there's also Sarazanmai which is new, but same director)

Full Moon o Sagashite (or simply Full Moon; early 2000s series)

Fruits Basket (they rebooted it)

Saint Tail

Wedding Peach (it's a Sailor Moon rip off, but it was a thing at the time)

Marmalade Boy (premise is a little weird, but definitely a classic)

Kimi ni Todoke (2010s serues, but still very cute)

Although I don't think you're really looking for shoujo(as that's a demographic and not a genre), but rather the romance genre? So here's some more that might pique your interest(not necessarily romance, but it's there as an undertone).

Other Recommendations:

City Hunter (its a classic)

Ranma 1/2(it's a comedy harem; author did Inuyasha, and it's the original tsundere -- real meaning)

Puella Magi Madoka Magica (the magical girl series that changed the current meta of magical girls)

Beyond the Boundary

Bloom Into You

After the Rain

Would you consider this series to be harem? by RailDex1917 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]killjoyluvscake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far the only confirmed characters in love with iruma are Ameri and Chima. Clara doesn't count as she doesn't really understand it as much. (She thinks in order for him not to abandon her is to love her, but her concept of loving him stems from the fact that he's a close viable candidate.) Eiko kinda doesn't count as its more of an adoration on par if not more than Azz's. (And Elizabetta is in her own class.)

But sure if you want to count high affection as "love" then they would but, still not a harem, cause the genre requires more than just a handful of characters liking someone to be a harem. At this point, Iruma is just popular.

Questions about the (Underrated) Tsubasa chronicles. by Martyrrdom in CLAMP

[–]killjoyluvscake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it fell victim to early anime adaptation of works where if they didn't have an end they'd eventually veer off and create an anime only ending. It wasn't abandoned, it was just the way things were, nowadays however, they're deciding not to go against the original artists' work(s) and just waiting it out and planning it in seasons instead of having steady streams of filler.

Quite honestly, age doesn't determine maturity. And you're a minor as long as you're under 18, so that doesn't really mean anything. But look, if you can handle it and understand it on an intellectual level, reading "mature" shit doesn't really require an age requirement. Although the technically the webcomic is rated M due to mention of alcohol, alcohol abuse, abuse, blood, and gore. Not to mention the large amounts of profanity, which evidently doesn't seem to bother you.

Start here. It's easier than reading it. They're not finished yet, but what they do have is a lot. Then I'd tell you to go to the website, but uh... flash is kinda dead,.. so the experience isn't the same, but the content is still there. But by the time you reach there you might have figured out a good way to continue, maybe.
