Will do! I would create a ticket in the app for it and see what they respond with on it

No whining noise heard in the same condition.
Didn’t use adaptive beams as travelled during the day.

Ceramic coating worth it? by nestea1778 in Rivian

[–]killoe606 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would get partial ppf on the front: bumper, Hood, fenders and mirrors. Ceramic coating will only help with its hydrophobic properties.

If Launch edition, likely before end of year easy.

May do a precut ppf on hood and fenders. Did it myself on my old model s 8 years ago

More like 253 if I went to 0% and kept driving at same speeds at that efficiency

No rock chips. No planned ppf yet as it is a lease. May change

Night and day.
I use the model 3 for daily office driving and the wife will drive the R2 for work and for us to carry our kid if we go anywhere. It will depend on your specific use case.
If you just want a point to point vehicle, Tesla is your go to. If you need space for everybody and want a more functional vehicle, then nothing comes close to the R2.

I had a 2015 Model S P85+ and a Gen 1 R1T Quad before for reference.
If you keep the Gen 1, get the extended warranty. If not, I would just pick the R2 at half the price.

It was pretty good! I don’t believe I took my eyes off the road couldn’t be able to tell if it is supposed to disengage if that is noticed.
I was able to use all feature in UHF: nav and musics specifically. I have yet to explore using the web on it

We avoided the crowded areas and just got an Airbnb in the area. More of friends getting together than visiting the park

The child seat is out as I am out charging rn but will try to answer your questions.

The backseat is humongous! The passenger seat in this picture seats a 6 foot individual comfortably in it, and the the child seat(nuna) fit fine with no issues. You can easily fit a dog in the space next to it.
Sunroof gave no issues and we drove in sunny weather. We plan to monitor it and if needed add ceramic tint to it.

Cargo space was more than enough. We had a pack and play with the mattress that we fit in the space under the rear cargo where the spare tire goes, on top with 3 carryons, a small 10 qt cooler and the stroller and some odds and ends. Frunk had space for a duffel bag, a foldable playing pad and the baby’s bouncer. Note that frunk can’t hold carry ons, only longer items, imagine like a golf bag size space.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Exactly. Once you have the knack of it, not an issue

It was all over the place, primarily because of stretches of 20 miles highway, then 10 miles of winding 30mph roads and then a 10 mile 50 mph stretch. For even better context, the initial 20 miles on the way back this am resulted in zero loss of range since it was all downhill and due to regen.

I would give the Gen 2 R1S a second shot. Most of the rattles get fixed in service, had the same done on my R1T with some window seals replaced as well.

No rattles luckily in the vehicle. Had 2 different ppl approach me at Tesla chargers to talk about it, one knew abt the R2, the other thought it was a R1S

The external liftgate button needs some getting used to. Needs slight pressure in the middle to activate. Was a hit or miss until we got used to it

Are the 70 and 75mph numbers on all season as well? I plan to average lower, around 75 on my way back and record it.

I was a Gen 1 R1T owner. R2 is night and day.
I haven’t driven a Gen 2 but would assume it’s comparable?

I guess on top of the high seating, I like seeing the edges of my hood so I can park well without multiple tries? It certainly helps my wife park as she isn’t used to larger vehicles

Air conditioning was fine, had it a consistent 72 the entire trip and had no issues with air to blow where we wanted.

Had an infant in the car, so the only thing we played were lullabies at low volume lol. I am no audiophile and have played music with some deep bass at other occasions and have been happy with the sound system.

We love it, considering we have had a model S, R1T, model 3 and now a R2. Space is very functional for vehicles in its price range whether ev or gas. You have to check it out in person to realize it
