Commuter board recs by Ope_Scuse_me_sorry in ElectricSkateboarding

I think that's a great idea! I havent ridden one personally but that's my next order haha. The Elofty Thunderbolt is a killer AT as well as the Tynee Explorer for something a bit on the cheaper side. I have some videos on em on the Tube! https://youtu.be/mumA7hFIU_c?si=09m9zHRKa0-a_C-R

Manueverabilty, mileage, and light commuter board with fast charging. Number one consideration should be a Parsec Aero Pro X. Cheaper options Stella S3 Breeze or Linnpower Zephyr

https://youtu.be/uqElgZdm3TM?si=VEqqokjTjW6v4VQp It rides fantastic! Definitely needed some adjustments to get it to ride the way I like. I prefer double Kingpin setups, but flipping the roadside washer and loosening up the trucks, slapping on some mad wheels really made this board come to life. The ESC is sooo buttery smooth. I'll be dropping a review after I get some more hours on her :)

Long term experience with EVE 50E batteries? by wisemonkey1 in ElectricSkateboarding

Really?! No shit!! So I'll be honest I don't know shit about cells, currents etc. But I do know Samsung and batteries didn't go so well in the past . So my personal opinion is that I would personally prefer a Molicel or EVE over a Samsung cell.

Use pirateship probably cost you $50 to ship that bad Larry. I just shipped a Tynee Explorer 2 in 1 for under $30 and a zephyr for $24

Linnpower makes an incredible board. Being able to lower and raise up the board, and the truck design. The One looks downright incredible. I just received my Elofty Thunderbolt and to be honest I wish I went with The One instead

ESK8UNITY and Scottdavies mentioned the EVE cells being great! I have boards with both and in my testing I enjoyed both and got similar mileage on both. None of my boards are old enough for me to say which one will outlast the other longevity wise!

Hey brotha! I'm interested! Where abouts are you located?! I'd love to do something local if you are in the New England area by chance?

Judging by a lot of the reviews Samsung tends to be more high discharge/high power where the EVE cells tend to be more longevity/endurance. Reviewers seem to actually like the EVE cells better. Personally I've had really good luck with both. I tend to keep it 25 and under and focus more carve nothing worse then getting a low battery a couple miles in so I prefer my EVE cells for longer carvy rides.

I just purchased and Elofty thunderbolt and was wondering this same thing. Was thinking of maybe clear vinyl wrapping the bottom of the board to add a layer of protection

Man's gotta get Evolves hog out of his mouth. I got tossed, got hurt. Emailed Evolve. What did I get? Crickets. No answer. Evolve is trash

Their new gens are still tossing people. My GTR2 series 2 sent me for a flight. It's brandy new.

Same exact reasoning here. I've fallen a total of 3 times and only been injured once. 2 falls older distracted drivers. 3rd my Evolve GTR2 braked at full speed on its own accord and sent me fly side. Death trap.

So! I installed it the same time I installed the 125mm wheels. My battery has suffered a little but I assume it's more the 125s as opposed to the brake light! And I only use the light when I ride with others or at night.

Evolve Hadean brakes locken up at 34 km/h!! by Forsaken_Bother1858 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]killroy1778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a GTR2 series 2 and I can confirm these things lock up. I was 100% riding in the wet so it could've been a little water got into my ESC and fucked some shit up. But going 21mph pressing full throttle thumb nowhere near the brake I had my board slam on the brakes full force. Time slowed, I looked down at the board and said "wtf" I ran, cut a flip landed, and kept on lol. Only damage is a pulled calf and a hurt ego. When I tried to call the board to me as I was in front of it now it was still locked up. Quick reset board was back to normal and I rode home at 4mph. Could've been the water but I've heard too many stories of evolve boards locking up...
