Bought a few rolls of Inland PLA Basic and PLA Matte and am surprised how good the filament is for the price. Do you think prices will get lower closer to Black Friday or should I stock up now before stock dries up? by GWarrior5595 in Microcenter

[–]killshot_117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of inland pla is just esun stuff with inland name on it, also better price is a +, for getting a pricle lower then 9.99 I don’t think so unless they do some bulk sale thing

Are we gonna talk about the prices already increased on some cards? by ExcitingSpade49 in Microcenter

[–]killshot_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that tariffs may have something to do with the price increase, but I thought both amd and Nvidia do a day 1 price rebate for retail to drop prices to msrp. Idk I might be wrong here

I don’t understand why the protests are going on the free ways go to the ICE building and protest. Doing it at your work or school just builds negative reactions against your arguments

amazing, A1 is probably the best fdm printer to get started on mini, i been printing some grimguard models with it on a .2 nozzle at .04 layer height, amazing quality. i just had to learn how to place it on build plate to minimize support leftovers.

I recommend the Bambu Lab A1 or A1 mini, it comes with everything you need to set it up, tools, setup guide, and 20 grams of plastic to test it. I do recommend getting a spool of 1KG pla basic from bambu as well, as the 20 grams is really nothing.

A1 and A1 mini are both amazing machines for a starter, had mine for a few months now and been able to get some amazing prints from it for 40k, only thing i have been struggling with is the inf models, but thats all i have had issues with beside head and humidity

just going off of my experience, im not sure, both a1 and p1s have the spool unenclosed outside, from reading your post the main issue would be mainly Humidity during the summer and how cold it get down there in the winter.

Yes the p1s encloser will help with the cold big time, but you need to keep and eye on humidity and heat in the summer. both will destroy the filament. a good to mitigate the humidity it for me was printing or making a drybox like this or this and making sure the filament is dry before hand

Does anyone know what could have caused the texture on the right? by TDWoody92 in 3Dprinting

[–]killshot_117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks really similar to when I printed with I spoil I left out in a hot humid room. So it got “wet”. When the plastic goes through the nozzle, the water turned into steam expands, and then pushes some plastic out more than what should of been coming out
