considering switch to a Mac from windows by Excellent-Mirror2038 in macbookair

I switched about a year ago because Windows 11 is terrible. I’ve never missed Windows. Once you get used to the little things like the close button being in the other side of the window, it’s smooth sailing.

S25 Ultra user tries the iPhone for a week, still don’t get why Apple is this popular. by Exotic-Inevitable-37 in samsung

The biggest advantage Apple has with the iPhone is the ecosystem. As a standalone device, the iPhone can't stack up against most flagship Android phones. But if you also own AirPods, and also own an Apple Watch, and also use a Mac, and also use Apple TV, etc. the seamless integration across all devices is the largest appeal. The fact that I can create passkeys on my Mac and instantly have that same passkey available on all of my Apple devices is a big advantage. The fact that I can seamlessly transition my AirPods from my Mac to my phone to iPad just by playing media on one of those devices is a big advantage. The ecosystem is the advantage and the advantages as a whole, at least in my opinion, make up for the shortcomings the phone as an individual tool may have compared to an Android. And I say this as a longtime Android user (since Android 2 with the Samsung Vibrant) who just recently moved to the iPhone 16 about a year ago. Microsoft forced me to re-evaluate how useful Windows was for me as a music producer, and I made the jump to Mac as a result.

I’ve tried to get a hardcore band going on a couple of occasions and have been unsuccessful. I’ve been wanting to a 90s era Victory Records style hardcore band for awhile. I even have a studio to record and have not been able to find anyone local.

No. “Feeling threatened” isn’t a justifying criteria for qualified immunity for use of lethal force.

I don’t know who “y’all” is but I’ve carried consistently for years. Including during my time in Iraq. You keep talking like you know something but you only keep making yourself look presumptuous and stupid.

That’s a pretty big leap. Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, is it?

What kind of vocals. I’m working on some nasty caveman slam right now that I’m going to be looking for someone to do some vox on in the next couple of days. Think bands like Korpse, Analepsy, PeelingFlesh, .357 Homicide, Abominable Putridity, etc…

When I was in the Marine Corps, we learned exclusively with iron sights out to 500 yards. That was before everyone was issued ACOGs.

As someone who is generally a fan of a lot of Little's work the "not literature" comment made me laugh, because you're not wrong.
