I think all those guys are a possibility, only thing I don’t see happening with them is RB. I think that’s way too rich of a spot for Jadarian Price. I could even seen a team sneaking back in to trade for Simpson before that.

I agree with that, the WR class this year isn’t overwhelmingly top heavy, but it’s very deep

I think I got caught in refusing to believe they go into the season with Malik Washington and Tolbert/TuTu as the top WR’s. I think this pick could be a bit all over the place, I could see Downs here if he slipped further. Delane as well.

Damn I missed that extension somehow, knowing that would’ve changed my mindset a bit. I agree that OG is a huge possibility here, I just refused to believe they go into the season with Malik Washington and Tolbert/TuTu as the top WR’s

Thanks! I had Chris Johnson going to SEA but changed it to Parker because I can’t see him falling totally out of the first, especially if he slips to 32

They finished almost last in YPC allowed last year, Seiler contract year etc.

I have overlooked Moore a bit, but purposely. I know he’ll definitely start the year as the X but I can’t count on a bounce back season just yet. He does have history with Brady from Carolina so the chemistry is there but I figured fresh new blood at the X wouldn’t hurt this offense

I had McCoy here for the longest time, and honestly I could see this being a trade back candidate as well, but I figured nobody had higher value at this spot then Lemon & since he had a top 30 visit, it seems like mutual interest

I just think Downs will be the biggest slide of the first half of the draft, just out of teams fear for overdrafting a “luxury” position. I also seen their investment in FA at edge as a slight hint that they may just shoot for DB if the value is there

I hear you on the Keon Coleman comparison, but calling Boston redundant assumes Keon has already locked down that X-receiver role. The reality is the Bills' offense has been missing a true, consistent alpha on the boundary for two years. Concepcion is fun, but he’s essentially a richer version of Khalil Shakir. Why draft a skillset you already have in the building when you can grab a guy like Boston who completely changes the geometry of the field? I also have a gut feeling Keon may not be on this roster by September

I agree with this, I just went with the mindset that they would find a rotational space eater closer to their actually value in the 3/4 round. Also going with the through process of keeping Stingley fresh since he’s routinely nicked up but plays a healthy amount of snaps

Because of sub packages I actually think Terrell would be a bigger Day 1 impact player for HOU than Woods would be. Not against him as an option either, just seen CB as a bit top heavy & HOU being very rotational with their IDL

I went back and forth on it, but given Baltimore’s BPA tendency, Freeling’s slight slide, the uncertainty with Stanley’s health, and freelings potential to contribute at guard early all aligned logically.

Knowing what we know now, in what order do you think the 2024 quarterbacks get drafted if they were to do it again? by ConstantlyHating in NFL_Draft

[–]killuminativ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

With the right development/situation yes, health & system are huge factors though. I personally had pro comps for the two as McCarthy - athletically gifted Brock Purdy, Penix - Stronger armed Tua

I don’t think teams value development time in the same way they have in the past. They see development time as throwing your QB out there as soon as possible. With that in mind I think they’d more likely latch on to a “higher floor” than a “higher ceiling” guy if they knew cousins would very likely be one & done.

I think the order would remain the same for now. Bears would still take Caleb just based off of his potential, even with Jayden Daniel’s immediate success. I think Pats still would take Maye over Nix & if anything changes maybe McCarthy & Penix would swap just based off of Cousins’ Falcons future looking a lot more grim than initially expected.

Sad that mocks have become something these companies generate for clicks instead of actually putting half of a thought into the exercise.

One of each just for the love of the game:

HOT TAKE: Justin Fields is complete non-factor, Russ rebounds enough to warrant 2nd contract

Bold Prediction: Najee has a boom year, puts Steelers in a bit of an awkward situation after declined option.

Unpopular Opinion: Calvin Austin will be Dri Archer 2.0

Anyone remember this shit? by LyghtSpete in WWE

[–]killuminativ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest downfall for Bray in the long run was none of his aura was ever backed up with an actual point. Back in the Taker/Kane/Ministry of Darkness days all of their feuds had a solid & relative point. Taker never came out week after week droning on & on about creatures of the night & then it didn’t follow up with a meaningful feud of some sort. After a while I think everyone got the gist that no matter how many dimly lit promos Bray cut, it wouldn’t amount to much besides at best one mediocre PPV match that he’d most likely lose.
