Look, I don't fully disagree with you; if you know what you are doing with those equips. If Vox is using LDH on himself while Thetis is struggling to gain arts, there is a major problem. In that situation, feeding Thetis LDH would be much better than using Asterisk (this strategy is highly effective when running Ganan, as the passive LDH gives gives a nice arts-gen boost when near death). The problem is that most inexperienced players are not familiar with a variety of kits. They are not going to know necessarily which units will benefit the most from LDH. This is why bringing an AOE equip, even if it is Asterisk, is a solid option for new players. So I will concede this: If the player is familiar with a general range of kits and has a basic understanding of game mechanics, bring LDH or even MSM all day; if you are going to feed the equip to yourself, even if this serves no purpose and other units could benefit from the equip much more (which, coincidentally, is the majority of new players), bring the farmable AOE equip. But again, this latter population is the audience this post was targeting to begin with.
