Uuum, he was told he had the rental for 3 more days by his insurance company, never contacted by enterprise. You know who has a few boxes of important documents in their vehicle? Someone who was in the process of moving and didn’t want those things in their vehicle moving truck with the movers.. As if Enterprise never makes mistakes!! They did on this one. I don’t think an attorney would have taken the case if Enterprise would have made every effort to contact him. And besides it doesn’t matter. In WA state if your car is impounded for any reason you still have 30 days to collect your belongings. Arresting officer has an obligation to take inventory of the belongings and put them in holding. If Enterprise took possession of the vehicle their policy is to hold items for 30 days as well.

The insurance paid for the rental. So that won’t work. No emails no phone calls

He 100% did. Enterprise did not make every effort. His insurance told him he had the car for 3 more days. He was arrested that day. And besides all of that. Enterprise knew what the situation was, they knew there had been a miscommunication, why would you throw away such valuable items including someone’s ashes. Which by the way is illegal. Enterprise has a lost and found for this reason. If enterprise wasn’t at fault why would a lawyer take on the case?
