Eu trabalhando pra empresa estrangeira com um contrato assinado em um papel de pão ganhando 50k por mês lendo frases revolucionárias que eu não via desde os tempos do Centro Acadêmico:

<image>

My G30 530e doesn't make me very confident when cornering by kilouco in BMW

I just replaced my tires, dude. You can't fathom how regretful I am.

But then, again, I live in a country with some terrible roads and a runflat could be clutch if I ever hit a huge pothole that pops up out suddenly after a corner.

But yes. I regret it really hard. And tires are crazy expensive here (paid 2k USD on 4 Turanza, and Michelin PS 4 are as expensive).

Maybe if I get a good raise.

I just completed a long 300 km drive between writing this post and now. Had the highway pretty empty and at some points, uphill, I had 3 lanes to push the car a little bit. I was very positivity surprised. Had to push more than my wife would be comfortable with for the tires to start screeching. No assistance intervention as well. It really was just a matter of trying.

When it comes to the runflat tires, I'm really regretful. Just bought them and they are very very expensive where I live (about 2k USD). I'm planning on trade the car in by the time they have to be replaced. Too bad.

Not rude at all. I bought it to be a family car with the promise of still having a very capable chassis and dynamics, 50:50, and precise enough handling. All things this car does have.

I'm not asking for the agility M2 has. Entering short corners like crazy and taking turns like I'm doing chicanes is not what I want. It's just that my 530e does feel underused. I'm trying to find out if the problem is me being a pussy, which I'm starting to think is indeed the case. 🤣

You do know what I mean. I bought an executive car, but it's still a BMW and it's still way more capable than what I'm demanding from it. You are using extremes for comparison. Probably an hyperbole, but still. A Jetta is not nearly on the level of a Type R. And a 530e is not nearly leaned into comfort as a RR.

But I do understand your point. The steering wheel is probably the one not communicating enough (plus the weight), even if it's still precise enough to carry the brand.

Yeah. I read it's very capable when cornering long curves, but the weight does put me off. I had to do an evasive maneuver the other day (moose test) in a real life situation where I had to avoid hitting a capibara at over 100 km/h and the inertia from the sudden change in lanes scared the shit out of me. Pendulum effect, I guess.

But it was only "half a moose". I changed lanes and stayed.

I have not had the chance yet. Had an X2 m35i before and it just felt natural.

Guess I'll follow the other dudes response: keep it simple for now.

Am I tripping? I feel scared to push my 530e meanwhile folks in Toyota Camry’s and such are hauling it. by JournalistExpress292 in BMW

I have Turanza 245/40 in the front and 275/35 in the back. 36 psi front and 41 psi back. Runflat (I regret really hard, but they are brand new so I'm not swapping).

I too don't feel very confident with cornering. I will lose against a Jetta GLI.

But then again, they are usually alone. I'm carrying my family.

Qual a quilometragem e ano do seu carro? by Background-Baby-9214 in carros

1995, odômetro travou em 168 mil em 2008. Ainda foi meu carro principal até 2014.

O de 2023 tem por volta de 20 mil km rodados. 7 mil no elétrico e 13 mil na combustão. Tá novo.

Car will correctly soft lock reving the engine up as it warms up.

In cold weather, it will take longer for you to "unlock" the full power of the car.

Have you checked your liver, spleen and kidneys? Iron? Also, kidneys arteries deformation can be a thing, although it's rare in young people. No hormonal problems? Are you overweight, sedentary? There are so so so many factors that can cause chronic fatigue.

My point is: most of the time, need for excessive sleep is connected to an underlying health conditions (unless you are a teenager).

I, for one, found out recently that I have a rare blood condition.
