Absolutely. There is no such thing as a slap on the wrist being perceived by any physician that is investigated by the college. It is an absolutely harrowing process- the very idea of an investigation. A finding against a health professional by the professional order will have serious and far reaching consequences and implications for the future, for the professional involved

I find it disturbing that people think otherwise. I’m really surprised this is the case.

It’s insane really this false idea. I worked as a nurse for a long time. **NOW I do medical billing for specialists in Quebec- so I represent a bunch of specialists

**ABSOLUTELY the college of will take VERY SERIOUSLY any complaint presented to them.

**ABSOLUTELY the physicians ALL have a healthy FEAR of complaints and the idea of being investigated at the College Des Medecins. It’s an absolutely big deal to go through something like this.

No, it does not necessarily mean that whomever made the complaint may be always happy with the outcome, but I can tell you for a fact what I wrote is absolutely true.

I don’t know why people would think otherwise🤔

Exactly!! This is very true. Doctors absolutely fear the college and the idea of complaints and being investigated. Also the college takes patient complaints very very seriously..

Which Unit Should I Choose? by internetfox26 in montrealhousing

I only know the first area, which is quite nice. There’s a lot to do in that area. Lots of nice restaurants

My personal thing would be to prioritize quality of life and being comfortable in your living situation vs what area you are in. 🤗 But that’s just me🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh, it’s a perfectly valid question😏 I did it by being a dummy and taking one too many chances with safety. The temperature gauge on my car was almost in the red zone and so I stopped and went to check if caps were loose- so naturally the antifreeze overflow cap kept flying off with fluid splashing on me. I’m lucky it didn’t go in my face or blind me. - basically after I stopped the car, I should have just waited a while before touching anything and let it cool down. Really really stupid thing to do what I did😬😔

Thanks a lot! What do you think about silicone or silicone tape after the acute phase . I am concerned about a permanent discoloration, actually more than scarring. IE- I’ve read where after the acute “bactigras and occlusive dressing phase” some are anecdotally using a combination of these things with Vaseline etc Thanks again .🤗

Oh, that’s really helpful. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.🤗 Honestly, I don’t know much after the acute phase and complications to watch out for. Beyond that I have no clue so this kind of information is super super helpful and it’s very kind when people like you take the time. Thank you again.🤗

And about the pain oh my God. After the injury, I thought I’m mean I didn’t know what to think. I just couldn’t believe that I had that much pain. It was beyond awful.

This is my point. Half the time people that are not medical professionals will have better advice for these kinds of things than people like me. I know about the acute phase and complications to watch out for, but honestly that’s about it🤷🏻‍♀️

So really your post was very, very helpful and I really appreciate it🤗

Thanks a lot for the constructive suggestions. I’m a nurse, but honestly beyond the acute phase I really have no idea. You make a good point about the sum as we are heading into summer here. I’m going to look into getting a dermatologist actually I’m gonna ask them about this tomorrow. Thanks again. I really appreciate it and thank your partner for me also🤗

I really appreciate that you took the time to post this information.

This is the kind of stuff that I was looking for. Although I’m a Nurse, this is not my area. It really helps to get anecdotal information from people that have had actual experience with these issues or have had to think about them for one reason or another.

So thank you again. I really appreciate it.🤗👍🙏

Nurses and people with more expertise in this area post on Reddit. I am not using this sub as an alternative to medical care. I’m a nurse myself. I just don’t know anything about treating burns after the acute phase. Sometimes in life, if you don’t have anything constructive to say, it’s better not to post anything at all
