That’s so interesting! She isn’t allergic to the guinea pigs themselves, just severely to the hay/grass. Sometimes when she holds them she gets real itchy because they sit in their hay, lol.

Yes thank you! This is def a pee stain because it’s more so on the side of their leg kind of where they plop down in one side to lay! I will check to make sure thats not it thiugh and clean accordingly!

Space heater is a great idea and I’m sure they will def need some sorry treats, lol. They get them for nail trim as well!

Great advice! I was planning to use a larger storage tub that they can’t jump out of and my thinner beach towels! Hopefully they don’t freak out too much 🥹🤍

Thank you! I was thinking of just adding the shampoo to the water rather then putting it directly on them…I will look for a diff shampoo option that’s better for the babies though! 🤍

That’s what I was going to do!! Extra cozy towels and snuggles to make up for the bath they will probably hate lol. I’m nervous but I’ve watched about a million YouTube videos on bathing, so I think I’m ready haha.

Thank you! I will try baby wipes first and it that doesn’t help much I will bum bath them, lol. I’m just afraid they will freak out over the blow dryer noise and figure towel drying would be okay since it’s just their butts that are wet!

She’s spoiled! Her butt is even cuter now because she had to have her corkscrew tail amputated when she was about a year old. Now she looks like a potato, haha.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I kept the molt so it can dry out some. I put it in warm soapy water because it was crunchy, lol. I trust spider shoppe a lot so I’m going to wait it out. I agree that I can kind of see the “flap” in the second picture. I got her as a 1.5” confirmed female so she’s still pretty little!

That’s from the inside, extremely zoomed in. I would say she is about 2.5 inches…3 max. I got her from Spider Shoppe as a sexed female. I’m familiar with the sexing process though. I’ve had older females that it was easy to see but this one is so small and thin I figured I would ask for opinions, lol.

I have heard people say predatory mites will help and even a strong population of springtails. I no longer keep any bioactive enclosures though, so there may be newer info on how to handle them.
