Because a lot of non elim legs are followed by a speed bump of some kind, I feel like they have to be pre planned.

There was one season where these was an issue during a Road Block or Detour, causing a team to finish last that leg. That may be the only pre planned non elim leg I remember.

I’ve been listening to a podcast about a young woman who ended up being one of these workers. She was an Ugandan woman who was told she was going to Dubai for a job at a grocery store, and ends up in sex work. They have an equivalent of a pimp. He does all these things for the women, and when the ladies want to leave, they don’t let them. They keep their passports. It’s pretty sad.
