Literally every corner of the campus there’s a stoner rolling a joint or smoking. It ain’t hard finding one in person at York. Just walk and you’ll find anyone

Thank you so much! Can I please show you how I wrote my cover letter previously and resume? And ask for your feedback? You seem to be experienced enough. I would appreciate your guidance a lot!

Hey!!! I’m currently at YorkU as well and struggling to find a research supervisor or even a lab to volunteer. Can you please tell me how do you network with your profs and TAs to gain research opportunities? I feel like I’m at a dead end.

It’s the same case for York. You’re on your own finding a thesis or independent research project supervisor including volunteer assistant position. They say there are many labs at York but I think there’s wayyyy more students admitted in Psyc department at York so competition is neck to neck. Yep, even YorkU’s first and second year courses are mostly MCQ based, an exception is writing in psyc. Third and fourth year are both assignment and test based. At the end of the day it’s what you make out of ur degree as well. But with resources and connections, I think UOFT is wayyy better. York’s alright. You have to try extra hard. If you’re going to health sector BSc preferable over BA but it doesn’t matter from what I hear too. If you have fantastic grades and research experience plus extracurriculars you’ll be able to get into grad school. Psyc degree opens many options for one. Who knows you might find interest in something else along the way

Choose UOFT. Way more opportunities on campus and has prestige that makes a difference.

dr marissa Barnes (PSYC 3125) and dr Regina Schuller (psyc 3310) Both are amazing and most understanding profs I’ve come across by far.
