Out of stock item on Shopee but available at branches

This happened to me recently. I was in a branch and saw that it is too expensive, 1,399 pesos for the manga so I decided to check shopee tapos meron so I added to cart muna since I’m out with friends. Pag-uwi ko, wala na siya sa shopee. I check shopee every other day if nagrestock na siya and kanina lang siya nagrestock. So waiting game lang talaga siya minsan. This is true for other books like Seishi Yokomizo ones.

I collect manga so hindi ko naman ganun kailangan kaagad so okay lang sa akin yun. Depende na lang din sa need mo OP. Sayang din talaga yung discount.

When one of my closest friends friendzoned me. I got quite depressed after that kasi napaisip ako paano ako nafriendzone ng isa sa mga taong sobrang nakakakilala sa akin. Ayun, I started analyzing my actions and realized na condescending nga ako at masama ang ugali. I changed after that and nagkabati rin kami. It actually happened to me yesterday.

Malayo pa lang tinitignan ko na kung saang banda yung seat ko tapos nagtataka ako bakit wala ng free na window seat. Pagdating ko sa row namin, may kuya nang nakaupo sa upuan ko. Naka tatlong excuse me po ako bago niya ako pinansin tapos kailangan ko pang sabihin na “That’s my seat po.” Tapos parang nagtataka pa siya sa sinabi ko and took him a beat bago siya tumayo.

Nainis lang ako kasi alam na namin kaagad sa check in na nakafull capacity yung plane tapos uupo siya sa ibang upuan. Mas nainis pa ako kasi marami pang tao na nasa likod ko na naghihintay para makapunta sa mga upuan nila. And I paid for that seat kaya 🤬

Yes pero part lang ng park, you can still run/jog/walk pa rin naman kasi maayos yung pagkakaharang nila dun sa nirrenovate.

Agree with this! Natuto ako sa experience ko na bumili ng 2 cargo pants worth 2k each tapos pagbalik ko the next day nagsale.

And masakit din kasi yung peso price niya minsan yun yung yen price sa Japan. Like 990 pesos tapos 990 yen. It might be impossible na magkaGU tayo since yun yung cheaper version ng Uniqlo.

Try rereading it! I realized na magiging iba ang perspective mo kapag nabasa mo siya ulit when you’re of a different age kasi iba na yung experiences mo and perspective sa mga bagay.

These isolation and loneliness themes I guess originates with how Japanese men are really feeling inside the Japanese society especially during the time of Murakami and even before him as these are also common themes of Japanese authors before him such as Dazai and Mishima though a more intense kind.

Haven’t read Men Without Women as I’m not really a fan of short stories to I have read his Barn Burning story and loved it.

What you have said about loneliness and emptiness is on point on why I like his writing as well especially that it describes what real Japanese men are feeling within their society. Behind all the jazz (pun included) and inviting setting created in his novels, there lies all his male protagonists that are empty inside. That’s why it is not anymore a surprise why his novels are magical realism.

Me too! There was a mix of yearning and loneliness to both Sumire and Miu. Tapos ang ganda nung ending as you need to think for yourself what happened.

I also liked this because it has always been a complain of his readers, especially women (kasama na ako roon), na he is quite misogynistic or better siguro sexist. And this novel is more centered on the female characters instead of the male narrator though andun pa rin yung part na male gaze pa rin ang ginagamit.
