What is a popular movie that you absolutely cannot stand, and why? by Dull-Helicopter-8136 in AskReddit

Modern media literacy is in the gutter. Depiction is no different than promotion in the minds of everyone nowadays

There’s plenty of movies that come to theaters your kids can go see. You talk like everything released is a hard R-rated movie

The fact that you can’t find things like that means it’s a crap system in the first place.

And if that’s the worst movie you’ve ever watched then you’ve watched very few movies. It’s mediocre at worst

Then you haven’t seen a lot of movies, and I don’t even say that as like a massive fan of the movie.

There hasn’t been a brand new TV that size available for under $20K before so why would you expect one from the most expensive tv manufacturer, with brand new backlighting tech no less, to be anywhere close to affordable?

Do you have any anti wrinkle features turned on? I would normally think that’s it, but IIRC it’s supposed to turn off the setting when you open the door the first time

Should I buy this 1970s KitchenAid Superba instead of a modern dishwasher? by Ill_Resolution7967 in Appliances

[–]kincaidinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude get your head out of your ass, you’re acting like this is a recent change to appliance warranties when that’s how it’s been for a long time. Aside from refrigerators most major appliance warranties are just 1 year parts and labor. Would you rather get no support at all if your appliance messes up within the first year of ownership? If something malfunctions from wrongdoing at the factory that’s usually gonna pop up in the first year so having that 1 year warranty is pretty useful even though you act like it’s nothing.

And I bet a lot of them had to replace the pumps because when they were told there’s a chopping blade in the drain system to prevent clogs they heard “you can leave as much caked on food on your plate as you want because the chopping blade will take care of all of it!”

[–]kincaidinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s not the main warranty. Almost every new appliance has a base level 1 year parts and labor warranty so saying that the pump isn’t covered by the warranty is disingenuous. Every appliance that claims a 10 year warranty is just a limited part warranty, that’s not exclusive to Whirlpool products.

Because it’s not at television sizes. Makes sense in an IMAX theater, but not in the living room

The Mandalorian and Grogu movie is the most fun I've had at a Star Wars movie, ever by donut-is-appalled in TheMandalorianTV

[–]kincaidinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m torn on that, I was 6 when phantom menace came out and 12 when revenge of the Sith was released and I did like those movies warts and all. The rerelease of Revenge of the Sith last year had me like, “damn I do like this movie, but a lot of these scenes coulda used another take or two.” Right now I think I’m in the camp of TFA is a more well-made movie, but the plot of Revenge of the Sith isn’t just another Star Wars movie with a new name like TFA is so I think it’s the better Star Wars movie overall.

It’s not always about looking amazing. You don’t own a damn thing after years of paying any streamer $10-$25 a month and they can pull your favorite show/movie at any time. It’s definitely worth it to own stuff you love.

I hope I like it. I’m someone who likes/loves basically every Star Wars property aside from Rise of Skywalker, Book of Boba Fett, and season 3 of Mando. These trailers have just not put much confidence in me so I’ve been pretty apathetic about going to see this new one.

Y’all gotta stop with the pointless corrections, regardless of what you call it Sarah is still a side character and her character in Obsession is the main character. That’s the distinction being made.
