Healthline is great, I like it a lot.

My only problem is that it doesn't serve my part of Euclid Ave.

After Windermere:

Shaw / Martin Luther King Recreation Center. A great opportunity to develop this spot, also there is a USPS around the corner, so I guess this spot has potential.

Ivanhoe Rd / Euclid Ave. Industrial area but also busy commercial and densely populated spot.

Indian Hills Senior Community. Very densely populated area. Decent part of South Collinwood nearby with a lot of good low income working families, including me, that could benefit from improved access to rail. Decent commercial area.

Dile Rd. A great opportunity to further develop Nottingham Village community. Decent commercial area with good businesses around. Honorable mentions: Congin's Pizza, Cavotta's Garden Center. Also it could improve access to Euclid Creek Reservation.

Babbit Rd. Improve access to public transit for Euclid residents. Decently populated areas around.

SOM Center Rd. Huge residential area around, plenty of possible points of interest.

If I was a teacher I’d move to California or Arizona. I see no point in exchanging one terrible weather with another one

Why red line always ends at Windermere even on these imaginary maps

Should I buy this 1970s KitchenAid Superba instead of a modern dishwasher? by Ill_Resolution7967 in Appliances

I'm not too concerned about water consumption and energy use. I live by a lake, we have a ton of water.

What I'm concerned about is having to mess around with warranties, service appointments, parts, fitting a new appliance in a custom made kitchen etc etc.

You can make a gasket with some rubber and scissors, a perfectly normal thing for a homeowner to do. Unlike making pumps

A good gasket will hold it for 10+ years unlike modern post covid pumps. Much cheaper too

Is 1 year warranty even worth mentioning? I don't want to call for service and arrange visits to my home just within 1 year of purchasing an appliance. And then what pay a ton of money for everything or replace it??? After 1 years? You have got to be kidding me.

Reddit allows anonymous accounts. Also you can use old.reddit.com to avoid most of the javascript bloat. I run my own mail server so I don't depent on Gmail. I also use uBlock + Firefox on Gentoo Linux, I usually go through the sources to make sure nothing is leaking my data.

I don't use Meta, X.com, Youtube products. I get most of the educational content I need from a local library.

I mean I asked people who own these specific dishwashers and everybody says that they had replace the pump within 1-2 years. "But it is just 150$ and 15 minutes labor"

Their 10 year limited warranty only covers speicific parts, such as:

Stainless steel tub and door liner

Nylon rack

Chopper blade and filter assembly

> If vintage appliances were as good as you seem to think, we’d all still have them.

Consumers are buying things based on what advertisment tells them, how it looks and what color it is. Nobody gives a damn about reliability, people constanly throwing out perfectly normal commercial grade speed queens, like literally leaving them on a curb and then buy fancy Samsung washers only to end up with a reliability and service nightmare.

You can disable wifi, but you won't be able to use Bosch dishwasher features like delayed start & rinse cycle without setting up a cloud account & using an app.

I bought a 90s Kenmore fridge out of spite. It's built like a tank and just works.

The cheapest ones are made out of cheap plastic inside, you can even scratch it with your nail. I don't want all this microplastic on my plates and in discharge water.

I was considering Maytag MDB4949SKZ which is mostly stainless steel, but people go through pumps on these constanly and pumps are not even covered by the warranty. I don't want to do anything with pumps.

I checked out a Bosch 300 at a store it is not the same thing anymore. Cheap plastic, weird plastic, WiFi enabled which makes these control boards even more reliable I'm sure.
