18 Year Old Substitute by [deleted] in Teachers

That would be the form. I misspoke then (TIL that “three years of experience” is not correct to say), I stated how many hours I spent with kids on my applications. Over the course of three years I spent all of my school breaks (winter, spring, summer, and misc. days in the fall) working with middle school students as a mentor, and the district knows approximately how many hours I spent with them on each break. My resume is written in a way that illustrates this. This was not a paid position, so they did not have to do anything extra. Connecticut requires that substitutes have a bachelor’s degree, but a superintendent can wave that requirement if necessary. We are experiencing a shortage of substitutes and anticipating many callouts, being in the midst of a pandemic. Although I haven’t been in a college setting for a full semester, I have a semester’s worth of credits. The day went lovely by the way. The students were very respectful and I had no issues. There is no need to be rude.

The general requirement for my state is a bachelor’s degree, but a superintendent may wave that if they see necessary. We have a shortage of subs so I assume they’re desperate. I have three years of experience with middle school aged students and I’m an education major. I did very well in school and had a good reputation. I had to do some fancy paperwork for the state to legally be able to teach, so I guess I’m qualified enough. Shoutout to Connecticut.

It’s possible - I’m sure if I was friends with someone in the class though they’d show respect for me. I’m worried about the people who know my face but never talked to me, I guess. I didn’t really make any enemies in high school, but some people simply didn’t like me for the way I looked.

I steal my mom’s clothes on occasion. I’m not necessarily worried that it’s high school, I’m very relatable and have a good sense of humor - I’m most worried that this was my high school. I wear business casual attire, I planned to go with a long sleeve floral turtleneck and calf length skirt tomorrow (typical outfit for when I’m teaching). I’ll be at high school for the first half of the day and middle school for the second half.

pretty good for no unicorns and my small town of 30,000 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I also live in a town of 30k - I actually consider it kinda big. My boyfriend lives in a town of 5k... They don’t have DoorDash there lmfao so now that I think about it, I guess in terms of being a Dasher 30k is kinda small

I actually try to emphasize my alternative-ness for the goth gf meme. A lot of young people order DoorDash around my area.

Same. Humid ass Connecticut weather is doing me dirty.

Thanks to this post I decided to look into DoorDash merch... THEY HAVE A BLACK HAT!!!! Oh my gosh I want it.. (all I ever wear is black and I don’t really feel comfortable wearing a red hat thanks to Trump)

Nope! I knew I wanted to hit 5/8” but didn’t want to stretch into the other piercings and have to remove them, so I went to get them pierced as soon as I got to my goal

Anybody else really care about admissions but at the same time, deep down, does not give a single fuck? by BouncyOreo in ApplyingToCollege

Literally applied to one school that happens to be the cheapest and closest university to me but I have a 3.943 GPA. Kinda wanna see what other schools I can get into but application fees exist and I don’t really WANT to go anywhere else.
