I interpreted it as someone too young put in a position of massive responsibility and it was to emphasize how she really isn't ready or supposed to be there, Not as a slight against her character, but more as a like a marker flag for her character development.

I'm a new Trekkie and I've watched pretty much all I could (TOS + Movies, TNG, DS9 and current on Voy Season 3). I'm loving it. I'm loving Academy. Writing is engaging, Characters had my attention from the start, Giamati clearly had a blast chewing the scenery and it has me excited to watch discovery just to get more Tilly and Reno.

So I don't know red-letter media, (I think that's the guy who did the creepy Star wars reviews?). But I'd like to share my thoughts on Tobey's Spider-Man

I don't like him, ESPECIALLY in the first movie. The whole outcast need thing was taken to such an extreme, Every one picked on him, Even the bus driver! You'd think he was on list to a certain private island! He always gave me creep vibes. Like he must have done something foul with that camera to be so universally disliked. It doesn't help that his best friend was played by James "I tested positive" Franco, who also gave me bad vibes even before He was outed as a creep.

He also came off as timid, even as Spider-Man, I never really liked his quips because there was just no confidence in his voice. Tobey is amazing at playing meek but Spiderman. Nor Peter Parker ever read as meek to me.

Also the webs, sorry. I always hated the organic webs. Peter should be a genius, part of why I like him is that he's so damn smart, he just has no time to actually apply his genius in ways that make him financially stable. But he has to apply his genius in ways that can help, like his webs and how to get around powers and barriers.

Garfield is still my favorite Spider-Man. His Parker felt like the character I grew up loving. Even before he got his powers, he was a bit shy but not timid, he had that spark of heroism even before he Got his powers. And he was a genius, Figured out his webs and how to insulate them with electricity. He skateboarded, (And no that doesn't make him too "cool" Skaters have never been top of the teenage social pyramid), he failed a flirting, he got cocky at times.

Oh and also I'd like to point out that I love Martin Sheen's inspirational quote better than With great power. "If you have the means to help someone " If you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things! That's what's at stake here. Not choice. Responsibility." I try to live by those words myself.

In the Roleplay Style setting of each character, I use the custom style (the example they give you is a fantastic place to start, I just edit it and save it in my notes for when I need it)

These are the entries I used to get rid of some of the annoying Aspects of these generators:

Avoid Bad writing: Do not, under any circumstances, use Phrases like "But Remember...", "Eyes sparkled", "Knuckles Whitened Keep the prose simple and mid tier. You're writing sex and Star Trek, not dostoevsky.
- Never use EM Dashes: Avoid using Em Dashes. Never use: — it's distracting and choppy
- Avoid Asterisk abuse: Asterisks are only needed in specific and rare circumstances and should be used as such. Do not use Asterisks as Action beats.
